I've never really cared for local multiplayer games, but I had some friends over the last couple of days and realized I don't even know what I have in my own library, so I was hoping some of you could help me out if you remember any that you've enjoyed.
We really enjoyed Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris (couldn't manage to launch Guardian of the Light for some reason, in case any of you might have a solution) and Nidhogg, and we're planning to try ibb and obb, but I'm looking for 3+ player games as well.

Obviously, going through my library is not obligatory since going manually through 1000ish games would be a pain, but I will most likely have popular and/or heavily bundled games, so just say whatever comes to mind ^^ It doesn't matter if the game is co-op or versus, as long as it definitely has a local multiplayer feature.

Also, I'm broke for now, but here's a (very) small token of appreciation for your time.

I'm actually quite interested in this aswell, since me and my friends come together like twice a year to play a few games aswell.
I'm just stating the games which we had fun playing, and hopefully you or someone else can try it aswell.
I must say, most games require you to actually have 4 controllers connected to the pc (or possibly everyone on their own pc with a keyboard)

N++ (4P, puzzle/action)
Badland (4P, adventure)
BlazeRush (4P, race game)
Jackbox Party Pack 2 + 3 (4-8P, fun games) (I'm surprised this isn't mentioned yet)(cell phones/laptops/tablets + internet needed for each person)
Mount Your Friends (4P skill/action)(only 1 controller needed, you can pass it along)
Move or Die (4P action)
Tiny Brains (4P, puzzle,adventure) (we haven't actually played this yet, I've bought this recently and we wanna try it soon)

(some games can be played with more than 4, but at the moment I don't know it from the back of my head)
And thanks for this topic, as I've already gotten a few suggestions which I would not have seen/known otherwise I think :D

I've actually had N++ on my wishlist for a while but for some reason I never knew it had multiplayer too, thanks for pointing it out! I can't believe I forgot about the third Jackbox Party Pack as well, I received it recently and never really got the chance to play it properly, and I really have to remember to get Move or Die the next time it's on sale or maybe when it gets bundled. Thank you lots for all the suggestions ^^

No problem, happy to help :D
I have to warn you about N++ though, it only works multiplayer on a single computer, like Jackbox :)

It's exactly what I'm looking for, since I'm the only one out of all of us who actually spends money on games, lol.

use this link. input ur profile, then click on the tags "local coop" or "splitcreeen"

it basically sorts ur library that contains those tags, very helpful

this is what i did to find games that me and my brother could play locally

heres some games we could play

How to survive 1 (very fun, will the sequel after we finish the first game)
Thoth + (2P max)
Blue Estate ++ (2 P)
Portal 2 ++ (2P)
bionic commando rearmed + (2P)
bloodknights + (2P)
dead pixels +++
Dirt 3 ++ (2P)
Helldivers! +++
Left 4 dead 2' +
Lego Jurassic Park ++ might support more than 2??? not sure sorry
Never Alone ++
Party saboteurs ++ up to 4
Skullgirls +
Super motherload +++
Trine +++

To-play list (off the top of my head)
insanely twisted shadow planet
Magicka
Trine 2 and 3

by far the best games was helldivers(been addicted to it since i got it last week) (might support up to 4? definitely 2 atleast) , Dead pixels (i think this one only supports 2), Trine (up to 3), and motherlode (supports up to 4) oh and how to survive!

The +++ . ++ . + is my own personal rating between 1-3 scores.

That's actually really useful, thanks! I was looking for something like this, and I thought there might be a similar tool but I didn't really know what to search for.

I'll still leave this open for suggestions of games I might not already have since I also found really good ones so far ^^
