Do you play this game? If so, on what platform?
Also, what are your favorite weapons in the game to use?

Just picked up the Fatal Falls DLC last night and thought I'd ask this.

Edit- Also thought I'd add in what your most hated biom.

This game looks awesome, it's one of my top wishlisted games. I might end up picking up in the next Steam sale.

Is the DLC worth getting?
Does the DLC change anything for the start of main game?

It's on sale 50% off now until Feb 9. I like the dlc, but the giants one I have yet to be able to access.
The only things it changes is some access locals and weapons you can make.

Well, I played the game (on Steam). Until I eventually get the newest DLC I don't really have anything else to do though (done with all the achievements outside of the newest ones).

Kinda hard to tell which weapons are my "favourites" since they keep nerfing and buffing stuff. At one point I was mainly using the Heavy Crossbow with any shield that doesn't suck (Rampart was the best option) and Wolf Trap+Giant Whistle but after they nerfed all the crossbows I defaulted back to Electric Whip or whatever else doesn't suck (plus a shield). Need to check the Heavy Crossbow again later to see if all those backpack panic-buffs have made it usable again. :D
(To edit: After unlocking everything from it, I like to pretend the Slumbering Sanctuary doesn't exist.)

OUCH! +1 to the Slumbering Sanctuary. Also, I like the explosive crossbow if I were to use them.

You dislike Slumbering Sanctuary more than Forgotten Sepulcher?

I don't dislike the Forgotten Sepulcher at all. The level has a really awesome atmosphere to it and the design is very straightforward to get through (Slumbering Sanctuary is really annoying in that regard since all the first checkpoints are right beyond the doors that get opened by pulling the switch and that forces you to backtrack). The Darkness mechanic of level makes it feel unique compared to any other biome in the game and the fact that it's populated primarily by squishy fast enemies makes it very manageable and not annoying (well, there is the occasional level generation fuck up where there is a large distance between two permanent light sources but that happens very rarely and is only relevant when clearing out the level thanks to the temporary light sources everywhere). It also encourages thinking of a plan of action beforehand but also acting fast on the spot if it goes wrong which prepares you for 4+ Cells difficulty where you'll need to do that a lot. If the Cavern wasn't an objectively more rewarding (at the cost of being harder) level I'd always pass through the Forgotten Sepulcher. ^_^
(Then again, the devs made some major changes to a lot of core mechanics recently (again...) so I'm not sure what the state of those levels is at the moment. <.< )

If the Darkness is killing you, then I'd suggest to be a bit more tactical about it rather than trying to rush at full speed. Don't immediately pop every temporary light source you see- keep some as backups. Killing an Elite enemy or finding a hidden wall rune immediately generates a permanent light source at that location so be on the look out for those to create safe zones. Each enemy kill also reduces the accumulated Darkness by 11%.

I have it on GOG with all DLCs. I prefer to run tactics, with one melee and one ranged weapon, if I can get something decent early on. My preferred loadout is the electric whip and the bow that shoots 3 arrows, and the twin crossbow deploy-able skill. I also like that spear that crits when it hits more than one enemy and the shrapnel axes. If I can't get good tactics gear early on I'll go brutality/survival with a melee weapon and shield. In that case, I like the broadsword and a good shield for a strictly survival run.

I actually like the changes to the crossbows being two handed with two attack modes. I've had good runs with the explosive crossbow and the heavy crossbow since that change. I have 3 BSC now, and I believe it was the heavy crossbow that I beat the Hand of the King with the 2nd time. I got lucky and found a legendary drop of it on the level right before you fight him and it had insane damage.

I backed it off to 2 BSC when the new DLC came out because I haven't played in a while. and even then I had to back up to 1 BSC to beat the new boss because I'm so rusty and was having bad RNG with finding gear.

play it, been sinking all my free time on it again.
First played it on PC through xbox gamepass quite a while ago, but canceled it last year (cause i pretty much only played dead cells on it), and since I just had to buy it on steam, started it all over again and enjoyed it just as much, now i own all the DLCs, too
and currently i've been using the whip quite a lot, but honestly i just go with whatever the game gives me, it's fun to just try different stuff every run

I played it on Gamepass a while ago, and really liked it. Can't remember exactly what weapons I preferred but I was locked out of some dlc stuff - it wasn't included - I think I liked to keep the quick blades or the stun hammer plus a ranged weapon. Have been waiting for a better deal / package on Steam before getting it since I've played it already and still have a huge backlog so no hurry to replay for dlcs.

I play on PC within the steam DRM.

My favourite weapon (with good sinergies) is the sadist stiletto, however my most succesful runs in the past have been with Ice Shards+green melee.

I hate every bioma because I die in all of them. I'm stuck at 3BC.

Ok, to make it fair now, my favorite weapons are-
Electro Whip, Pyrotechnics (JUST fell in love with these), Bamboo Dart Gun, Meat Skewer and the Katana. Yes I know the Katana is the single most broken weapon in the game, but it's still fun.

My most hated biom has got to be the Forgotten Sepulcher. I don't think I've EVER made it out of there alive.

No fav. Weapon and no most hated biom.

It's a great game. Not sure if I will buy the dlc yet. Still need to finish a lot more runs in the basegame

You should get the DLC. It doesn't add some endgame, it gives you more variety in what you are playing now.

Yeah, I have around 70 hours in it. Stuck on BS3 difficulty.
I don't really have a favorite weapon, then again I haven't unlocked them all yet. The biom I hate the most is Forgotten Sepulcher for obvious reasons.

Have to say I kinda stopped playing the game after the last big patch. They changed so many colors for weapons and skills that I feel like they ruined build variety. I also don't like the change to malaise since it hurts slower playstlyes (which is my preferred playstyle), albeit it doesn't affect me yet since like I said I'm still in BS3. They also nerfed some weapons that I don't think required nerfs.
