How is the gameplay for single player, if you played it single player? From the videos I've seen it's basically football, which I'm not interested in and doesn't seem that exciting to play alone.

It works real smoothly in my opinion and the multiplayer is Local only. I do have to say theres alot of reading but the gameplay is solid. And personnaly i dont feel like it really resembles any kind of sport but more of a sport of its own.
