This game is extremely poorly optimized for certain Ryzen CPUs, so if you have a Ryzen CPU that's affected, you'll probably need to adjust your power profile to fix it, otherwise you'll get extremely high temps no matter what game settings you use. In my case I was getting 100c which was the throttle temp for my laptop. I normally don't experience this, even with very demanding games. The dev is aware, just never managed to fix it I guess.

Interesting, you'd think that you don't have to care about CPU architecture when you use an engine.

Yeah, I posted a review about it and the dev took time to troubleshoot and respond but couldn't figure out a solution. There's also a thread on the forum about it where the only solution people found was to limit the power profile. I don't think the cause of the issue was ever figured out officially
