And the fingerprints of yourself and two others that you previously confirmed you can trust

Spermium has it's mitochondria in the tail section, and only the head enters the egg cell - this is why it can be used to track back some hereditary stuff, life "finding the genetical Eve" and other large-scale genetical map-making efforts :)

Yup. That's also why some of mitochondria-based illnesses are curable. As mitochondria are passed down only from mother it's enough to take woman egg cell, take away "damaged" mitochondria, inject normal ones and then allow it to be fertilized by semen. Thought it leads into few ethical problems.

The person that invented captcha should burn in hell. Just like the person that invented the automated recorded message when you call a company. I want to throw my phone against the wall every time I hear 'Press 1 for X... Press 2 for Y...'

i'd rather press buttons than talk to idiots that can't even answer the most basic questions i have about their company.
or even worse, the new trend of employing call centers from other countries, they don't even speak the same dialect... \facepalm\

I really can't imagine a scenario where I would click that by accident...the page has to be open...there has to be something I want to click in another tab in very close proximity...plus the button is tiny...at least for me
Not saying your lying just that its a non issue I think...can't happen very often xD

Yeah, but imagine how cool a scratch card should be! Hahaha... Or a double click to confirm... I mean, i assumed the minority on this 'project' but that button is so tiny, fragile and i'm so clumsy!
But yeah, i'll improve my attention to avoid situations like this, i'm always clicking on stuff. :(
Thanks for your post!

This could be easily implemented as an opt-out setting. I can understand why one might want it and I can also understand those that feel it's unnecessary.
It could be a matter of choice especially since it's very easy to implement.

Me too! The View Key function is a new stuff and the principal reason for it is to make sure that the key wasn't 'compromised', and when i saw it the first time i imagined that it was not a big deal and last week i finally found a use for it when i asked for it's RR and left the key hidden.
(Not so) Hypothetical example:
I accidentally viewed the key after 7 days from my winning and when i asked for a RR, and now if something happen i will be responsible for it because of not paying attention.
Fair enough for me, but it could be avoided easily by a function like this AND to warn users about the rules, for an example:
Once you click 'YES' you'll be responsible for this key! Are you sure?
I mean, perhaps the dude in question bought the game in a bundle and forgot to sync the Steam, but there's a lot of confusion possibilities.
Thanks for your post!

Exactly. I recently got scammed by someone who asked for a reroll after viewing the key and claiming he didn't use it while he actually did. So I feel a lot more serene rerolling when the key hasn't been viewed... A confirmation to make sure the key isn't accidentally viewed wouldn't hurt.

But how can you know if the key has been viewed or not?

There is a green eye next to the key/link if it's been viewed. It was added on June 26 https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/e9zDo/change-log

Thanks. I didn't notice before. Glad to know about that. :)

there actually is such a feature already. the view key option works in tandem with the sender, letting him know if the key was viewed or not. just check the winner section of the particular giveaway

If you will not use the key, view it is not a problem.

Yup, that button is way to easy to misclick IMO. I was surprised by the current design, actually.
Ideally, the confirmation could be deactivated via a setting I guess.

Even they add 100 verifications, the users will still click on it.

Hi,
About 30s ago i've viewed a key that i was asking for a re-roll by accident while i was checking for another issue to resolve (shame on me).
Well, a confirmation should be useful to avoid minor mistakes, but i know we should pay attention too.
What do you think?
