Nah, game is free, period. That's like saying that if I gift you a car then it's not free because you need to buy petrol for it.
(x xbox live gold is just an excuse to take more money, but it is not part of any game. It is a service that affects multiple games, need to get renewed every month while game needs to be purchased once, so it can't even be included in the price.)
