23 days look reasonable, but again I still feel outdated and outranged by AI; all I can say now is that I'll think about it.
Thanks for keeping up the tradition dude!

Thanks Tenma! I still, just as you said, don't really know how to feel about AI stuff, i mean, sure, i have an idea in my mind, i could try and work it out with some AI during the next few days and end up with something that matches what i thought about, but it feels weird.
Little guy opinion time:
On one end, just creating a whole image through text prompts feels cheaty compared to actual artists.
On the other end, i still feel like i want to create stuff, even if it is prompt by prompt, i have never been pushed to art when i was young and i know lots of other people have had the same happen to them, nowadays i'm starting to learn but time is very limited, so AI feels like a nice option at times (Like, for making the portraits of my D&D characters or stuff like that, mostly personal use), still dunno about presenting AI art to an event, so i likely won't.

Like i said, i don't know myself. But first of all we need entries.
If we get 5+ entries, i don't think a whole image only created by AI has a good chance to win. Mostly because of the gaming theme. A wonderful christmas picture an AI can easily create, but the gaming part was often the reason pictures got the most votes. So even if you use AI, at least time-wise, you have to put some work in it.
Perfectly fair for everyone is never possible. We got people here who actually draw on a piece of paper and then scan it in. Of course they got some disadvantage against digital art.

Last year i was late, this year i am early.
I talked with bron. He is not really active here on sg atm, but when i asked about the calendar, he immediately responded "let's do it". Most of you probably know our tradition here for a giveaway advent calendar every year
.
Last year's calendar
Last year's thread
Last year's voting thread
Old Calendars
And like every year we have a little drawing contest for the calendar picture:
These are the following rules:
-All used stuff needs to be free to use (don't use stuff that might give me problems). For example: don't use the Disney Font or Images (part of Images) where you are not 100% sure, that you are allowed to use it. (Of course you can draw characters and stuff).
-I need the picture digital. Best would be a png that's at least 1080p. It will not be printed so it should just look good at a normal HD resolution.
-The aspect ratio does not matter. It should be possible to watch the Calendar without scrolling on a normal (HD) screen.~~
-There should be 24 doors. Doors should have the (exact!) same size (it would be okay if door 24 will be bigger)
-The Calendar should be "safe for work" and stay in the theme "christmas" and "games"
Why should you do it?
The winner will not only be named in the calendar and collect tons of bluehearts, you will also go on a shopping spree with me. I bring 50 €, you bring your wishlist ;)
How can I win?
Add me on Steam and send me your picture. You have until November 18th. Countdown
Win the Vote from November 19th till November 25th
Is AI Art allowed?
Short answer: Yes
Longer answer: Still not sure, about this one, but i am not a friend of restrictions. Don't wanna force every artist to make videos or lots of screenshots. Last year there was one picture which was probably mostly created by AI. It did not get many votes. There was one in the top 5 which used AI for some parts, which i thought was ok. So it will be allowed this year.
Note:
-The picture will still be yours and you keep all the rights on this picture.
-You allow me to use the picture in this event.
-I will not use the picture to gain any money in any(!) way, there will be no ads or anything on the picture or on the page the calendar is used on.
-You will be named as the creator of the image.
-The image will only be used on the calendar.
-You can ask to remove the picture anytime you want.
