This happened to me yesterday I wasn't able to get any cards (using the method that person discovered) till it was close to the end of the first flash sale.
For the record the way you get cards are
-
Join a game.
-
Join a different or a friends game.
-
Be there when Level 10 is beat.
It's probably going to be like this for the next few days (or even the rest of the sale.) so I'm only able to get cards using the 2nd and 3rd method.

I'm aiming for 3k or even 4k. Probably there are some asians that are 500+ people team and just joining another asian friend game. Like a fekin choo choo and they got lvl 10k alread ;D

They joined all together (1000 must be the max number)
Autoclicker and the boosts from reaching big levels. I don't exactly know the details I just saw that they reached there

Yeah, if I had 1000 friends that can just click stupid monsters and if I of course could just click whole day I would get that badge too :P It's not hard though, especially if you have made some foil or normal sale badges, then you have enormous amount of badge points at the begining. Then all of them get the raining gold ability and Lucky. Then after 10 minutes they can get rid of any level in a few secs :P One guy increases only damage while another one is healing the team... damn, so many ways to reach even higher level than 10k.

There is a limit to how high you can get. The game lasts for 24h. Some people counted and to get on levels like 50k or so
you would need to spend somewhere around 4 secs on every level. Which can't be done (especially with the boss levels)
(Don't quote me on the numbers I just say things out of memory)

I would be interested if I were not be that tired. Freaking storm woke me up and I slept only for like 3 hours. Of course math gives us a limit of how far we can get, but then steam servers make that border even smaller. Today was clear though, but yesterday we were beating boss for like 10 minutes and team DPS was showing that we should beat it in 2 minutes or something :P

As I said below in the comments, Steam for once more shows us how unprepared they are for such big events/sales
They don't have the servers to accommodate these things and they get to dodge this issue for quite some time now

I like your last sentence. They are probably the most known PC distributor, they have good servers for TF, CS but if it comes to make such a event their servers can't take shit. Excuses are not enabled here, people complain that they just don't expect that many users participating in event - bullshit, first or second day one milestone was ''Unlocks once the specified number of people have joined any Monster Summer Game today", so yeah... they expected shittraffic. Maybe it's planned, to make mess around them, but I don't buy it. They can give us better servers, cause now, after few days they are way better.

I'm confused with those card drops. I always join a game as soon as possible, when the new day's game starts and stick with it to the end. I tend to get my cards then right when the new game starts: I got 2 today, 2 yesterday, and 1 the day before yesterday. This seems to work for me, but maybe I should switch games every now and then ... maybe I could aquire more cards like that?

yes, the badge max xp is 200, which I got already. So I could try switching games, but still ... I do supsect, that the number of cards I get when starting a new game the next day, is kinda tied to my performance in the day before, so it might be wiser to stay with the game I am in, no? It's just feeling though ... maybe there's no connection at all and I'd be able to get an extra card in switching games....
