Too dumb for puzzles

I've tried to wrap my brain around these puzzles I see on the forum but I always hit the wall almost at the start.
I've made a few hidden giveaways before myself, most of them contributor of course and people seem to find them so easily...

Any suggestions what I should perhaps read or some sites I could get some help from ?

Yeah, I never get any of the puzzles, hidden or not.
So I just stopped trying :D
