Not a week but rather over a month according to other articles that state Gamespy servers shut down at the end of May. Then you have some games that can still use Gamespy for some reason like Borderlands.

Here's their "Server Migration" thread. Civ IV has been moved to steamworks already but Borderlands is still expected to happen this summer.

It's getting close to a week past the announced shutoff date. Gamespy is still up and running, no comments on their site, nor any mention on gaming news outlets regarding the status of the Gamespy server browser.
