The classic boasting thread and almost the only reason why we still keep buying games during those sales, right?

Those screenshots certainly suggest that the game succeeds in delivering horror. Eek!

Hello.

I bought AC Valhalla and Season Pass
It was before the Winter Sale, but the price is still the same, so that should count, right?

Honestly, I’m pretty disappointed. I expected more games from my wishlist and hoped for some HL prices, but everything I have there is priced the same as in the regular sales during the year.

If the purchase wasn't months ago, it's okay. After all, this isn't a real competition, there is nothing to win. Not even a virtual crown. ;)

I'm also not overwhelmed. Yet I already made some purchases and currently there are 13 items in my Steam cart.

Didn't buy anything, but I might get Wolcen before the sale is over. For a couple of bucks it can't be that bad surely.

Spelunky
Golf With Your Friends

I'm also really considering buying a POE 2 key even though it's so expensive and it will be free on release + I prefer having a finished product, but I hardly had enough time for it on the free weekend -_-

Vampire - The Masquerade: Bloodlines

I started playing yesterday and I'm super hyped!

It's a really good game. If you haven't reached a point of no return you might consider using the unofficial patch which adds a lot of fixes, functionality, graphics and more. If you already got pretty far do consider it might break your existing save file.

Nothing yet but I might get AC Valhalla before the end of the sale. Seems worth it cause I heard there's tons of hours of content in it and I did enjoy AC Origins.

I bought it a few days ago and it is sooo fun. There are so many things to do, and the world is just beautiful. I enjoy AC Origins too, so if I can give you advice, go for this game as well.

Bought the games below since they were up to 90% off. My impulse won.

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla - Complete Edition
  • Dead Island 2 Ultimate Edition
  • Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition
(Got it cheaper on Humble since I’m a Choice member)
  • Dispatch
Only 10% off, but I love Telltale-style games so it jumped straight to the front of my backlog.
Also needed something to play on the Steam Deck since I’ll be away from my PC next week until January.

I wanted to get Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and SILENT HILL 2, but then I went and bought a few lil' presents for my parents and will spend more time with them these holidays. Time flies by, so I'll try to refresh some memories from my childhood and get some heartwarming moments.
Take care guys and happy holidays to everyone!

Vampyr - $3.39 on Humble (with subscriber discount)

On Steam itself:

The Addams Family: Mansion Mayhem - $1.99
Over the Alps - $2.59
Forest Ranger Services: Episode 2 - $1.59
Icarus - $3.49
Little Lighthouse of Horror - $1.79
Bigfoot Life - $4.24: Good or bad, I was always gonna buy this at some point. :)
Death Roads: Tournament - $6.07
The Apocalypse Sacrifice - $3.49
Path of Achra - $4.99
Maneater - $3.59
Maneater: Truth Quest - $1.34

And before the sale, but in December:

Echoes of the End: Enhanced Edition - $19.99
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II - $23.99: This is the bundled price with Manor Lords, which I already owned.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla - $5.99
Assassins Creed Valhalla - Season Pass - $3.99
Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Dawn of Ragnarök - $3.99
ACE COMBAT™7: SKIES UNKNOWN - $4.79: Some people think sub-$5 for this is somehow greedy Bandai at work being greedy, lol. I think it's a pretty accessible price, personally.
Rauniot - $5.39
LIDAR EXPLORATION PROGRAM - $4.07: Although it's actually a little bit cheaper now. Pretty cool game. It's what I'm currently playing.
The Temple of Elemental Evil - $8.99: I've also started this. It's a pretty solid reissue with some good QoL upgrades so far. Haven't really gotten into the meat of the game or its problem areas quite yet though, so we'll see.

Of course, I may end up buying some obligatory ATS DLC, and likely a couple other things.

Haha, I bought the game too. But I picked the Ultimate Maverick edition. I just felt that enriching a 19 billion dollar company by just by $1 wasn't good enough.

I appreciate that I didn't have to remind you of our sale tradition this time. 🤜

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1371980/No_Rest_for_the_Wicked/ it's 30% off. Only 3 hours in, but it's a beautiful game. Lot of exploration, there are so many hidden places, that you can easily miss, more fun when you find them, just like a soulslike. Equipment system is an arpg system, which is nice. Early Access, but seems polished.

Combat is a bit weird, not sure if I am supposed to parry everything or doge roll...

Metro Exodus Expansion Pass

1,57 Euro for me since I could save 30% by completing the Metro Saga Bundle.

Bought it before the winter sale. But it seems that when a game is on sale right until a (major) Steam sale starts, it's possible and even likely that the discount phase is extended.

Only purchased Grim Dawn Definitive Edition so far. I would have also bought Red Dead Redemption (2024 Remaster) if the game had a higher discount of 75% or more rather than 50%.
