oh I copy and pasted this from a discord server called “Gamersky Giveaways” that uses a bot to tell them when they have deals going on! it is safe as I have used it myself, the “via freestuffbot” is just the name of the bot on discord
the open in steam/epic links might not work on here because I think it has to be through the discord message specifically(?) so I just removed those ones and left the browser links for anyone who wants to claim them :)

Epic pays for licensing fees for the games they give away for free as promotions, so even if you add a free game owned by the worlds biggest transphobic lobbist, you will still give a little bit money for ther to use in her company dedicated to pay lawyer fees for other transphobic people in their quest to make the lives of minorities worst.

So let me see if I understand that graphic correctly:
Epic pays the publishers of those games a flat fee in order to give away as many copies as they can during a particular period of time? Some of those deals were a goddamn ripoff for the dev. Thomas Happ only got 80 grand? Team Meat, 50 grand? 2D Boy only got 50?

I know it's been pretty cheap on multiple sales since around October, I figured it wasn't going to be in a bundle til next year, so that currently still holds true. I didn't even think about the EGS getting it for free, but that's a whole different scenario as Epic pays the devs/publisher for every copy that someone claims on the EGS.
It's a really great game, I have around 80 hours into it. The crashing issues it was facing for over a 6 month period after the June 2024 update prevented me from beating it, so I started playing other things. I really need to go back and finish the game. This is a great free first game for the EGS.

Anyway, this all but ensures that the game will show up in some sort of a WB bundle, if not a Choice headliner, in the next couple of months. WB has basically written off the game and will start selling it for pennies everywhere.
