Question about GameStop PC downloads

I have a bit of PowerUp Reward points on my account and I decided I want to redeem a game like Primal Carnage or Ravaged to give out in a giveaway. My only problem is I don't understand how the process works exactly. Would I enter a redemption code on the GameStop website and then receive a product key that can be entered on Steam? Could I then create a giveaway and send the winner that product key to activate on their Steam account?

If it's a game that requires Steam, then you will receive a key, that is redeemable on Steam. And yes, you can create a giveaway for that key :)
