[BUG] Owners of Switchblade are not being recognized for DLC

https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/V3MZw/switchblade-epic-pack#n7uIVPZ is at least a second giveaway for Switchblade - Epic Pack, that will end without any active participants, because owners of Switchblade are not recognized and blocked from participation by "missing base game" message.

Oh, it's a F2P game, so it doesn't get registered as "owned". This is a problem on Steam's side, I believe.

It's because the game is still "Profile features limited" on Steam all those games don't count as +1 in your library and thus are not "seen" as own by SteamGifts.

121 so far.

To be fair, it's not on SG, it's Steam, and well... nobody bought it to make GAs, it's just freebies people are redistributing for CV so it's not as if anything terrible was going on.

Freebies do not give CV, they were just added to assist with distributing free keys in a reasonable manner instead of having random drops everywhere.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. I mean some limited freebies (like the ones you'd get on lootboy) are not always added and people do get CV from it.
Also, seeing the number of GAs every time there's a freebie somewhere, a lot of users don't know they don't give CV, but regardless you're right. And hey some people don't get freebies before the event ends so it's cool that they can win GAs.

Of course, if so many people weren't getting multiple copies just for GAs that give them no CV, more people might be able to get them in the first place :P

It's certainly not caused by being "a F2P game, so it doesn't get registered as "owned"", because there is no such problem with some other F2P games (for example: Dreadnought, Snow).
I don't know, how SG is pulling data from Steam, and I can't make sure right now, if this happens to other "Profile features limited" games on Steam, but they sure show alright on profile's library list (as long, as they are downloaded), and not only F2P games are affected by this problem - last example: Total War: Shogun 2 - Blood Pack DLC .

It's "profile features limited", formerly known as "Steam is learning about this game"
All games like this can be entered with ownership and their dlc can never be entered. Thank Valve.

No idea whats up with Blood Pack, that's a different issue.
