Well i have many types of games and my GF is a Gamer herself. When she plays at her home she plays on her PSP, PS3 3DS (shes a console gamer mostly), But when she is with me she play with me in Co Op mode in some of my games and there are times when she completely takes over of my comp to play games she interested in that are in my library. So we tend to be very competitive with each other, its a blast and my relation with her is great been together 9 years now.

I would probably play more games if my wife was a gamer. She sometimes plays on her phone and we used to play Mario Kart Wii together before we had kids.

My GF is also a gamer, and she tends to like games like Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Fable III. I like a lot of the JRPG's that most casual gamers have never even heard of (Atelier Iris, Mana Khemia, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne), and she often is baffled when I gush about something in one of those games :P
Though it did make me happy when she said she was thinking of getting Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2, because she knew how much I played that, and we'd be able to play together when we're apart n_n

I girl loves fighting games and MMOs and I love fighting games/mmos/FPS/EVERYTHING ELSE so it pretty much works out for us :] although she was jelly of me playing Guild Wars 2 all week we rarely butt heads when it comes to one another playing games most of the time shes okay with it however last weekend she was a bit irked that she couldn't play even though I offered to let her play over and over on my account it just wasn't the same as using her computer so I guess that was the reason we butt heads lol.
Also I like the fact that we both will try again and be very critical of it if its terrible or fall completely in love with it if its great.

Thats true I should look into that. However with out cash fund we may just stick to LOTR Online right now since its f2p and its not too bad.

I played video games since I was 6...I'm 25 now, mostly RPG and FPS, but I try almost anything, except for sports (it just bores me). She doesn't play anything at all except for puzzle booble or bejeweled and the likes, but at least she knows I love video games and she doesn't give me any problem at all.

Nah, she doesn't really like them, I tried but she simply doesn't like video games. But that's cool, she knows I do so I have my own space and she has hers. We understand each other so we don't really argue or have any problems.

I'm not much of a gamer, i like to play some games but others i just cant get to grips with. my boyfriend is a gamer, he likes a lot of games, (PAYDAY, SKYRIM, MASS EFFECT) and although we play our separate games together at times, other times he just never seems to get off them which puts some strain on.. but if you love your partner enough you just don't care...

I play games often with my wife. Sometimes she likes gaming more than I do. Currently playing skyrim- she'll watch and give instructions/suggestions.

She loves loot, level ups and exploring every dead end. If loot falls out of a breakable item, that item is going to be found and broken.
I really enjoy co-op gaming, and we have to be on the same team. Moreso for her, but me as well. Our skill levels are pretty wide apart, so it really isn't fun for either of us if play against each other. As it is with most co-op games, they still have competitive scoring, so I have to make sure not to grab everything or kill all the creatures or the game won't be as much fun.

A game like Rayman Origins is good, because the dead character can jump back in immediately without making trouble (also death jr). Donkey Kong Country Returns was a little trickier because the pool of lives is shared, but it encourages me to play better. And the strong art direction also helped. Trine was another good one, and Portal 2.

We could probably play co-op rpgs forever, either splitscreen on the ps3/360 or lan play. Titan Quest hit the loot parameters. It also hits a key co-op requirement, if one person is at a vendor, the other can still play. Sacred 2 failed on this point. Lord of the Rings- North manages it well.
Another big, big roadblock is whether the second character matters. So fable 2/3 splitscreen co-op was a failure for us because her character didn't matter.
Borderlands was another hit. She isn't big into fps games, so it took maybe 2 hours before the hooks were in, but the loot factor was too strong a siren call.
She'll watch me play any good game, such as Persona 3/4, Bioshock, Uncharted, Arkham, etc. She also likes achievements/trophies, which I don't pay attention to.
We've probably played hundreds of games over the years, both mainstream and indie. Mostly console/pc, but some handheld stuff too.

My girlfriend plays games with me sometimes. She's more into casual or social games, but occasionally she will try something beyond that with me.

When it comes to more in-depth games, if they are fun to watch or scary she will often watch me play :)

Well my ex and i used to play Mount and Blade, she kinda introduced it to me, so there were no issues in that regard at least.

Other than that, we once started playing Budokai Tenkaichi 3 on the PS2 and it was hilarious mostly because none of us knew how to play the game, also played TLORT (action adventure game), did some Minecraft on our more passive days, and i beat the crap out of her while teaching her how to play Quake III once :D (she then impalated me with M&B though).

Also had the chance to play Mario Wii World (or similar) on the Wii, and it was hilarious, really fun to watch her trying to troll me by throwing me to the depths, just to get saved and finish the level anyways.

As for the servers in D3, i wouldnt worry that much about it, in the open beta time, i had no issues whatsoever when joining a US game (i live in south america), no lag at all and no disconnections (and no, my connection sucks, my avg dl is around 150kb/s from international servers)

Personally, I haven't got in a relationship yet but I want a girl gamer so I wouldn't have to sacrifice my time doing stuff that I don't like for the sake of the relationship. We could do something that we could both have fun with!

My gf is a gamer too, and we realized that about a year after we've started dating. She watched me play Stalker and L4D, then became quite interested.

I like RPGs a lot (especially Fallout), so I installed Fallout 1 to her laptop just so she could try it. I thought she would get bored after half an hour or so, but she finished the game in 3 days without my help. :D

Now, everytime we hang out she brings her laptop and we play Half Life deathmatch (crossfire :P) together. We sometimes play Mortal Kombat on PS3 as well.
