Hello !
I have a brand new pc and I was wondering what games you would recommend as a base, the first ones coming to you!

Processeur 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700H 2.70 GHz
Mémoire RAM installée 16,0 Go (15,7 Go utilisable)
Type du système Système d’exploitation 64 bits, processeur x64
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050

Advice to give? I touch a bit of everything so don't hesitate to give your favorites :D

Do you think it could handle Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales?

Seconded. That was so much fun!
I don't think this PC would have a problem. I played the game twice on a laptop with similar specs (although the GPU is slightly inferior)

I see you've played Starbound and Stardew Valley and a few others like those, I would recommend Terraria and Dinkum :D Steampeek is also a very cool site to find games similar to those you already love or search by very specific tags!

Pretty excellent pc for high 1080p and even some good 1440p. Enjoy it and welcome to PC gamers!

My favs online are Dead by Daylight / Civilization 6 / Rocket League with friends
My favs offline are Final Fantasy and Resident Evil series, literally stunning on PC ^^

I played a lot Hogwarts Legacy on the last month.
Right now I'm nerding too much on the new Resident Evil 4, it's literally AMAZING!!

my ever-fav game is Yakuza 0, it hits all the right spots on everything u want from a game: killer story, highly detailed world, and amazing just amazing side quests, and the gameplay is top notch it's just amazing. my other rec is the first game I played on my gaming laptop which was Sekiro, and I know it's a bit hard and stuff but it's never unfair and always rewarding; it's just a work of art.
p.s. Congrats on the new PC :)

sorry i can't disagree more with Yakuza i tried it on console and could not see the hype - not saying your wrong of course but i haven't tried 0 - i had one of the ones on ps3 and sadly didn't like it myself

sry to hear that but as I have not played other Yakuza games (currently trying to find the right time to play Kiwami) can't say much about them ( I only am certain that the story is great which was the main hook for me aw) but I wholeheartedly recommend u to play 0 even if u don't plan on playing the others. if u like story-rich games even a little then it's a must-play. besides it's extremely cheap so hope u find time to play it asI can't recommend it enough.
p.s. don't look at gameplay videos and such as they were a bit misleading in representing the fun u have in the combat

The main attraction of the Yakuza games is the story and 0 has the best story in the entire series. You should give it a chance if you ever find it cheap, it might surprise you.

Subnautica. One of the most beautiful games i ever played that doesnt demmand insane hardware to deliver.

But my recommendation is biased. No matter what pc setup or genre someones asks about my first recommendation is Subnautica.
And when someone answers they have/played it, my next recommendation is Subnautica: bellow zero.
Its one of those 'must play' classics for me- but comparing with other great titles that are must play almost all of them have some caveat- something about then that may not work for this or that taste.

Except subnautica.
Old, young, action-games fan, casual-puzzle fans. I think it goes beyond specific genres, given its experience and immersion as a whole.
Even someone who hates everything listed on the game i bet will enjoy it...
...because that was me. I hated anything survival around crafting. Decided to give it a shot.

May be my favorite of all time now. It pains me to say that, like im betraying past favorites im very passionate about (like fallout 1-2, among others)- but even when i consider favorites on the same level all of them are 'low replayability' compared to Subnautica- just because i never get tired of revisiting it... (that said no revisit will ever be like the first one)

+1 for Subnautica. Definitely something to try out

Also I would vote for Metro Exodus, GTA5, Witcher 3. All have great story, great environment and world.

+1 for all 3 too. Gta5 isnt my cup of tea anymore (but once it was, back in san andreas and gta4 times) but i have to admit its one hell of step up... and witcher im biased (i also love witcher 1 and 2)- but 1 is definetly dated and 2 not so easy to recommend (linear and harder, for those who like it its awesome)

I constantly have GTA 3, VC and SA downloaded and they are always good fun to fall back on. GTA4 and 5 I download now and then as well. I guess its a bit of an unpopular opinion but I think GTA is all around the best game for newbies to gaming to try out. It has shooting, driving, some strategy, story, flying, transport missions, escort missions, bank robberies, escaping from cops or simply cruising around with car. Out of my friends who don't game its the go to game to give when they want to mess around for a bit.

So IMO it definitely should be something to try. If you know you don't like it that's perfectly fine, but if you are not sure I think its perfect. My GF doesn't play games AT ALL. Only candy crush.. and that only because I got her addicted :D But when I bought Steamdeck and gave her to try some games out she didn't care for most games and only asked to play more of sanandreas. Just because you can do everything there.

Witcher 3 on the other hand might not be for everyone since the theme is fantasy and middle ages, but the story is brilliant and that is a fact. Visually its stunning. Gameplay is great as well. And I believe its not just bias talking of someone who loves the game. I do believe it actually has these characteristics as a game and rating on steam speaks for itself.

I played the mode without requirement to drink/eat and it was awesome. I'd recommend to grab a map or guide for the endgame though, since it can be difficult to get through all levels and you can't just save everywhere (except you build a base everywhere). And prepare for longer sessions towards the end for the same reason.
Below Zero is similar, haven't finished yet, but explored a lot already.

And while talking about exploration of an alien world: No Man's Sky is great by now, too.
