Well, if you win the second giveaway, you could still tell the creator of the first giveaway that you now already own the game and that they should ask for a reroll - if they decide to contact you at one point, that is. Otherwise just mark it as 'not received' and move on :D

I have actually done this. But I didn't win the other GA and never got the key from the first GA >.<
EDIT: But yeah, I was thinking what should I do... But decided that I can always back away in case the first GA creator showed life signs ;)

Obviously it would depend on how much scotch whisky I had drunk. Possibly I wouldn't even be able to enter a giveaway in as short a timeframe as 5 minutes. But most likely if a user had appeared dead for 5/6 days I would take the chance of entering the giveaway, waiting 5 mins for a result and sending the maker of the first giveaway a message about a reroll if necessary. I have had winners ask me for a reroll saying they just got the game elsewhere and it all worked out fine...

I was just scrolling the Giveaways page, when this came to my mind and thought: "What would this beautiful and honest community do?"
Lets see, you've won a gift 5/6 days ago, and the user who should've gift it to you shows no signals to be alive (He does not add you to his/her Steam friend list, nor gives responses any way).
AND
You see a GA of the same game, 100 copies, only 50 users in, ending in about 5 minutes.
What would you do?
