Why does everybody say thanks in the comments of everything?

Well I guess I'll stop commenting "thanks" on giveaways from now on and eventually leave a message if the giveaway creator asks for it. The hostility towards this fenomenom has grown quite a lot lately, I don't get it, but I'll adapt. :\

Does anyone else find it awkward that someone that just made an account would create such a discussion.
When they themselves have not won nor contributed a giveaway to this site. (yet)
I feel weird commenting in here, as it feels a lot like Heresy being committed.
Whatever though, it was just an observation.

I type thank you kindly to every giveaway I enter, because I'm thankful for the chance, and I wish to express that I am. If the giveaway has a noteworthy description I'll reply to that, and then type thank you kindly. I keep hearing about people saying they're going to blacklist others for simply saying thank you, blanketly assuming they're bots . It's their blacklist not mine, their prerogative, to each their own. I'm not the one to say they shouldn't do as they please. In fact they should do as they please. It pleases me to show gratitude. And I'll take the risk of being mistaken for a script or something.

I refuse to stop typing thank you kindly, unless a time comes when I don't mean it.

My response usually reflects whatever the giveaway creator has typed. If they say nothing, I may not say anything in response, or just whatever my generic message is for the day (tanks, T. Hanks, Spanks, Spanx, Danke, thanks a lot, etc). If they ask a question, I answer it. If they ask me to flog myself with a rotten pole bean and post it on the Youtubes, then I do my best to oblige.
