'We'll be updating some of the Steam servers on Wednesday, April 17th, 2012 at approximately 08:00 PDT (GMT-0700).

There is some database maintenance scheduled which will result in approximately 10 minutes of service interruption. Chat, game lobbies, and the community web site will be affected for the duration of the maintenance. Some content downloads may be briefly interrupted. Game play should generally not be interrupted but may be impacted for some multi-player titles.

The maintenance started at ~8:40 PDT and is taking longer than anticipated. We should be complete within a few minutes.
