perpetual [per-pech-oo-uhl], adj. continuing or enduring forever; everlasting.

Once again, it's the worst Steam sales ever, like every other Steam sales ever! And that means we celebrate the times when Valve was doing things with original IPs. For the 18th time in a row, it's my privilege to give away two games that deserve a spot in any library:

Veterans of this initiative will know that people who've already got Portal(s) won't go home empty-handed. Have an alternate puzzler on me, something mystical and strange.

Sorry for the delay, had to get them trading cards by very slowly moving through the discovery queues and all that... 😏

Thanks for the giveaway. Since you know about puzzles, is The Talos Principle good?

I would recommend the demo to you, but apparently that's been taken down. I don't know why developers do this...

I've actually bought it, but to my great shame haven't played it yet. I bought it based on the demo and the reviews, though.

That doesn't make much sense to remove the demo from the store, I agree. But the demo is still up on the api: https://steamdb.info/app/330710/

I think on balance I would recommend Talos, I found almost all the puzzles quite obvious but the mechanics work so nicely that I still really enjoyed crafting the solutions. I thought the story was incredibly shallow, badly written/translated and generally poorly conceived, though, and found the process of collecting 100% of the puzzle pieces to be a tedious, needle-in-a-haystack grind, and the "reward" for having done so is little more than a slap in the face really... But despite all those criticisms, yeah, I still would recommend it overall, because the actual puzzling is still fun :D

The Enrichment Center promises to always provide a safe testing environment. In dangerous testing environments, the Enrichment Center promises to always provide useful advice. For instance, the floor here will kill you. Try to avoid it.
