Confirmed it works. I just activated my HB key from March 2023. It gave me this version.
This makes sense as its its the same app id.
Come back in a few min and I'll do a GA for another copy I have... :)

Unknown. Steam pages shows I own Queens Edition but if I go to the Neon Splash page I do not have that. Is that not now part of this?
Perhaps the key is only the base. Would be nice If they did the steam pages properly. I"m at work so I can't actually test anything.

tl;dr: Neon Splash should be free for owners of the base game, but there's a glitch and the discount isn't being applied. But you don't need to "buy" the free game, since it's also included with a new launcher for the base game. They're just not gonna delete the old, separate Neon Splash for leaderboards sake.

The bundle wasn't available before, at least not in my region, I actually bought the base game and Neon Splash during two different sales (both at their historical low if I remember it correctly). I'm just so slow to get through my backlog that this kinda "definitive editions" sometimes happen before I get around to play the game, if a game becomes cheaper after I played it I honestly don't care at all, it's just when waiting wouldn't have impacted my experience but made it cheaper that it annoys me a bit because it feels like I lacked patience/restraint.
That said, I just checked the price and the game got way more expensive than it was when I bought it (again, in my currency) so maybe I made the right decision by purchasing it when I did.

Maya was probably talking about Masterful Modern 3D Platformers or March 2023 Humble Choice because getting Demon Turf from there would have lowered the price significantly, at least when looking at currencies like € or $. For your currency it would probably still have been more expensive in comparison.

Oh, that bundle, I was thinking about the bundle on Steam itself, my mistake.
And yeah, not only was it cheaper on Steam for me due to our currency crashing but also because at one point they had lowered the price of Neon Splash for some reason, maybe they just miscalculated the conversion, over-corrected, and never realized about the second mistake until now. Quite a number of publishers only recently adjusted the prices for Argentina after Steam changed the minimums.
