I never buy games with the intention of not playing them. Everything on my Steam list was bought because I wanted it (or it was part of a bundle with things I wanted). That said, according to SteamDB.info, I've got 226 games and haven't played 120 of them.
However, my logged hours don't count stuff like HL2, DOD:S and CS:S, because I finished those long before Steam started counting.

Here's something that might be interesting / a bit scary.
Using SteamDB, take your most played game and divide the value by the number of hours logged. The result is how much you've paid for that game per hour (assuming you paid full price) :)
For me that's Prison Architect. £19.99/98 hours = £0.20 per hour.
Do it for your least played game and it's even more scary. For me, Shadowgrounds: Survivor would be £411.17 per hour :)

Mass Effect Trilogy is the best RPG saga of the decade! You could complete each one in a weekend if you dedicate it just for gaming, I did so with ME3... actually there were 60h in 4 days; even though the ending isn't as grand as everyone expected that game is so awesome that I wasn't even mad, also I got the best ending (the green one) and I had previously downloaded the Ending DLC patch, that eased the blow.

Hmm It is not true. In my library I don't have 220 games. Yes I play some games only to get cards, but I will play them in future.
Some of them I play before buy it at steam. Some are from bundles and probably I will never play them. I spend much less for them as steamdb tell (value with sales), some I get for free (and some - not from SG - I will probably never play). All what I won here I want play, and earlier or later I will play them. Last steam sale - I buy nothing - almost all what I want I already buy. For new games I will wait as they will have enought discont (actually left 2-3 games, which I want buy - wait for good sale or bundles with them).
Counter Strike GO =$14.99/1,056.5h=0,0141883577851396$ per hour. If I count, that I buy it cheaper, and earned from selling boxes and skins - I am sure, that I earn on it to buy other games.
Actually I earn and collect money for new PC - cuz old stop work propertly - shows BSOD's (CPU or motheboard hardware problem), and HDD run slowly, so actually play only for cards. My old LGA775 PC want end own life...

got any friends who own it? PLAY IT! If not, wait until a GOTY sale and convince a friend to spend around $8, you won't regret it, that game is tons of fun. I have played aroun 200h on Xbox 360 and around 100h on Steam afterwards (and I still need a couple gaming nights with my friends to finish the DLCs).

I only have a handful of games I play (on steam) and most of them being f2p I don't think they really count.. the only other game I really played that was full price paid was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.. and it was worth it because I spent many hours in it and also played heaps of games with friends.

Here's how it goes for me. I buy games to play. I play those games. Out of Those games, is that ONE awesome game that I get focused on... like Skyrim or Sleeping Dogs... and my other games get put aside. THEN... out of "nowhere" comes a Steam sale or a Greenmangaming sale and I see some deals that can't be beat... and so THOSE games get bought and put on the backburner, unless there was that ONE awesome game in the bunch that I stop playing my other games for... Ohhhh...
I was TRYING to play Just Cause 2 until I bought Fallout-New Vegas... well, I ain't complaining; but, one day I have to finish playing Call Of Juarez: Gunslinger. At least I buy my games on sale for cheap.

that's the story of all PC gamers... with all the bundles and 80-90% sales we can't resist! Compared to $60 in consoles with horrible sales and even the shittiest game not going under $15-20 used, the PC sales are too good to resist.
I had to make an excel file to keep track of my spendings since I went crazy my first couple of months with Steam this year... still now I own 175 games that I might never get to play but they costed me the same as 3 new console games (or 9 used).
You just can't beat that, I just see it as buying a few games that I really want and get a whole lot of bonus games with them, at least that's what I tell myself to ease my conscience, lol.

That's the kind of logic I use to make myself feel better too :)
Problem is, just because games are cheap doesn't mean I can magic the time out of nowhere to play them! Real Life (TM) keeps getting in the way and the more it happens, the more of a backlog I build up. I just bought another game off my Steam wishlist 5 minutes ago because it's 60% off. Good deal, sure, but now it means the odds of me playing it are even lower :)

Steamdb list is invalid because some people only play some games and left them to get the card.
My to play list is : 133 games
My hidden and won't ever be played list is : 133 games
The ratio is : 50%
