For me it sometimes does that if the person owns +1000 games, otherwise works fine.

It happens to me when checking inventories while trading. It happens mainly when people own thousands of items. I suppose it's the same thing with the library.

Yes. Some time ago a user posted a script to improve this, but only for Chrome, though he planned to also make one for Firefox. Unfortunately I don't find the thread anymore.

Try using a 64 bit browser, not a 32 bit one.

don't know if it helps, but it is still present with large steam libraries on my 64bit chrome

I use 64-bit Firefox. Same deal. The scripting just takes a long time when there's a lot to display.

Only happens when I use the Steam browser, then the only way to fix it is to restart Steam completely, works fine in Firefox and Chrome though.

Happens everytime I try to check the library of somebody with very many games (1500 - 2000+) on Steam client. Seems to be better on browser.

as others said, the more games in the library, the longer that freeze/loadtime will be.. enjoy checking my profile :P it's a bitch.

thanks, it didn't seem to save any load-time in the first large load portion, but it keeps it from slowing down after that initial load is over with. ^^

well, my browser is extremely slow/froze whenever I view a game list with 10000+ games, crazy, but the client froze even with less than 1000 games

It doesn't matter if it's your own or someone else's, what matters is the number of games they have...

My browser freezes too if the person has several hundred gams, and after a while shows the message that a script isn't responding.

I think it's a common occurrence πŸ™‚
