I know you can't Wishlist these games on Steam but I think SG should implement it so when you wishlist something, you wish list everything pertaining to that game.

You can wishlist these complete editions. For example, Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition can be wishlisted.

That's an exception, most of the time you can't.

I can't believe that game has a warning saying that it's not compatible with W7. I mean, I played it on W7 without problems :p

There are just some minor workarounds that some people have issues, but customers shouldn't have to convince their game to work. Having a warning is appropriate, although I'm sure anyone that really wants to play it won't mind spending a minute to make it run.

Even so, I think there is a huge difference between "It's not compatible" and "You may encounter a few problems". But yeah, giving a warning is the appropiate thing to do, if it is as you say.

I've noticed that issue with some other games as well. Valve doesn't seem eager to simply have a warning that it may not work. They just say that it won't if there's a good chance someone might have a problem. I had to do something incredibly minor to get FO3 to work (it was so minor that I don't even remember what). I think it was something as simple as Run as Administrator.

It's the same with controller support. There's been several games that had notices saying the game required a controller to run when it was only advised to use one.

I think it absolves them of all responsibility to troubleshoot on Win 7. It works fine for most people but they don't even want to deal with the problems that may arise for others. They have no intentions of patching the fixes in and the workarounds are often convoluted.

minute

HA! It took me at least two or three days to finally get it kinda working, yet still - it crashes sometimes. At some point I couldn't bother anymore and even tho game is installed on my SSD I didn't play it in a long time.

Not to mention that I found it very weird that F:1 F:2 F:T works without problem, that F:NV works without a problem, but F:3 throws tantrum on players from time to time.

Please don't respond with things like maybe you should do this or do that - I belive I have tried every possible solution that was posted on steam forums and some F:3 dedicated forum (cant recall the name) in various combinations. It just don't like my PC.

Maybe you should sacrifice a goat to Gaben, that his light may shine upon you.

Nah, I'm not into doing sacrafices for fat Harry Potter. And even if I would I dont think it would help me. I think I should pray to Bethesda Support Gods instead ;)

TBH, I don't know why steam doesn't have a separate app id for complete/legendary/goty/etc editions for many games to be wishlistable. It probably is the developers doing or maybe how steam handles bundled versions of games. It is annoying when you wishlist a game that has a crap ton of dlc even though there is a "Collection/complege,etc" edition that is able to be purchased on the steam store.
