They're actually pretty good, most of them are better than some AAA games (actually most of them).

The fact is : AAA games are expensive. Most AAA games are linear, you pay for something that will last around 7-9 hours and couldn't satisfy you at all.

Don't get me wrong, some AAA games are wonderful, but they're few. Indie games are less expansive and 80% of them offer a more great experience. Don't make a fuss for this, just say what do you think about it

(Ah, i'm obviously talking about pc gaming)

I like some indie games but generally speaking I find that AAA games are more consistent. Indie games' biggest win is in generating new ideas and using some ideas that aren't hugely successful commercially. Basically, if there's a AAA equivalent then it's almost certainly going to be better on average than the indie version.

I think if you're going to do a general comparison you should look at the average case. The average indie game is utter crap in my opinion while the average AAA game is at least decent. That said, I think that the best indie games tend to be better than the best AAA games largely due to novelty

I used to look down on all indie games for no reason at all, but this was before ever trying any of them, I've now realised that they can be great

last night I bought FEZ <3 .

oh apart from that I must say TBOI , Braid , Limbo are among my favorite games and I do agree some indie games leave better impact in my mind than most of the AAA games .

Agree - most indie games are a lot lot better than the so called AAA games. I find maybe 1 big budget game per year interesting, while there are numerous great indie games each year.

I hate the aaa games for them trying to be nothing more than an interactive movie, just press forward and watch what happens. There's too little game in those games. The only good AAA games are old AAA games (mostly from the XX century), other than that most of them are repeatable noninteractive crap. If the big publishers want to make movies so badly then why don't they just make movies and strop pretending to be making games?

All gaming hope is in the indies!
