What are they supposed to sell?
Old gifts from before the changes? Keys?

You can't send to a region that is more than ~10% more expensive than your own. So the difference in price between what you can get and what a trader could get is minimal and would b lost in fees/currency conversion anyway. The only time you'll really have use for a trader on Steam is if there are items available in anther region that aren't available in your own region.

Steam doesn't allow you to purchase inventory gifts anymore (except for a few exceptions like 4-packs or games that give you a bonus copy), and somebody from a cheap region can't send a gift to a more expensive region. So people reselling on steam is basically dead.

thx for replies, yeah i was e.g. wanting a game which costs 10 euros. some guys bought it in their country (not RU,etc.) but in western region and sold it for 8,50 euros. so yeah 1.50 euros saved. and when bought 10 games you could save 15 euros etc,

actually there are. but you have to trust them... but you can't trust any1 on the internet :D
your "scheme" might work with a friend who wants to "cash out" from steam. I wouldn't actually trust any1 else.

I used to do this with Canadian store, but since steam introduced their gifting restrictions where you cant gift to a region where the game costs 10% more or above, its just not worth it anymore. You just cant both make a profit and have and still have advantageous prices over their region with only a max of 10% margin. And thats without counting the potential trouble of not being able to gift the game and the increased paypal fees.
