and I thought the "massively multiplayer" meant that there can be MASSIVE AMOUNT OF PLAYERS playing together in the same environment. In multiplayer fps games like TF2 you usually have some 32-ish players at once, not very massive amount now is it?

Well theres guild wars 2 which is arenanet definitely want to release this year. And after having played in the beta wekends I can honestly say that its a lot of fun.

I'm a huge fan of Dwarves and I prefer Tolkien-like fantasy. I was looking for some MMO, so I was interested in GW2 due to "pay-once". I've read about nations and I just didn't like any of them. Some look like imitations of standard races (Barbians, Elves, Humans etc.) and the only I could really choose... what the hell are those tiny, funny Asura gnomes?

Well ok its not Tolken high fantasy and if its not for you then thats fair enough. But just to let you know the asura were in the first game beside the dwarves and don't really share any similarities with them, except for maybe their small stature. As for the dwarves in the second game, there actually still around, only as non-playable immortal beings.
Anyway if your looking for something unique that isn't an imitation of a standard fantasy race or culture you may be looking for a while as nearly every game takes their initial ideas from a preconceived concept.

There WERE dwarves according to Guild Wars lore, but their entire race was annihilated by Destroyers. I read the novels lol.
