Stupid question about purchasing a pack in Steam that includes some games you own.

I really should know this answer, but I don't.

I really want L4D and L4D2. The Valve complete pack has those games and then some, like HL and HL2 that I would like to play. I already own Portal, Portal 2, Counterstrike, etc. If I buy the Valve complete pack, will I get the games and then be able to gift the ones I already own?

Fairly simple question, I imagine the answer is yes... but I'm worried that I won't have gift-able copies of the Portals and CS.

Only some games allow you to re-gift them if you previously owned it. The list is on the Steam Support site I believe, Look around on there.

Yeah, looks like the "extra copies" system is pretty specific. Doesn't look like I'd be able to gift Portal 2 or anything really if I get the complete Valve pack. Oh well :( Maybe I'll keep waiting for L4D to go on sale or maybe win one here :)
