I'm saying that these shared "exclusive" discount codes are useless. Anyone who might ever need one can acquire one on his/her own.
So what exactly are YOU saying? Is it that these lame discounts will encourage someone to sign up for a new account and cough up actual money to GOG? Highly unlikely, if you ask me.

LOL! You're being ridiculous now. You knew what I meant.
All I said is that if someone didn't have a GOG account AND really wanted Kingdom Come Deliverance, they might like the 50% discount and sign up for that. Afterall, you won't get that particular discount unless you're signed up to the newsletter already.
I HAVE signed up to a site take advantage of something like that before. It doesn't mean that I stay and spend more money with them. But where I've really wanted a game, why not?
People with massive backlogs who are used to buying bundles of cheap games, or getting them for free won't care for such a thing.

More than 30 different people shared their discount codes for KCD in the last 5 days. Absolutely no one expressed their thanks, which would imply that no one actually used them. And why would they when they could expect a much better deal if they just wait for the next Steam Sale or a Humble Bundle?
These discounts are not good enough and people sharing their so called exclusive discount codes are wasting their time.
If GOG wants to encourage people to switch from Steam, they'd have to do a whole lot better than offering a measly 50% off for an expensive game.

I like GOG, but It's hard for me to convert to it since I have a giant library on Steam already.
But I want to support that platform as much as I can, even if it's just by sharing those discount codes that I get in the mail from time to time.
If I'm not using them, then maybe someone else will find them useful.
