Is there a way to update key?

When there is an occasion where there is a duplicate key, I currently raise a support issue to delete the giveaway.
I have tried to replace with another key, but the key is grayed out and cannot be edited.

Instead of raising a support issue to delete the giveaway each time, is there a way to replace the key with an updated key?

Try opening the giveaway page and click "winners" on the left. It should say "modify" next to the key. I think you can change the key from there forever. I have replaced keys for winners in the past that way.

Edit: I can still change the key from that page on my first giveaway from almost 7 years ago.

To add to what was mentioned already: To the best of my knowledge, the giveaway has to be ended before you can alter the key, but you can update the key before you send it to the winner. There is no way to verify a key beyond whether it's the correct format for Steam, so there's no way for SteamGifts to know if you have the right key or not.
