I want to change my steam region (preferably to Argentina). I've been looking for a way almost everywhere I can think of but so far nothing helpful has come up. I really want to score some good deals from the Winter sale.
I usually buy games with gift cards. I'm just a student and I don't have access to a credit card.
Does anyone know of any methods I can use?

Moving's a bit much. But I don't mind travelling there.

iirc, you need to login with argentinian IP and make a purchase with an argentinian card. Then you can choose a new region

Even if I can somehow manage an Argentinian IP, how would I get an Argentinian card?

Live in Argentina ;)
If you want it solely for the purpose of abusing steam regional pricing... they are not that stupid to let anyone do that.

A few of my friends are doing it. They changed their region before the new policies took place.
I just wasn't so lucky.

Just don't be an ***hole and pay normal prices like we all do.
If you can't do that, just trade games, buy bundles or something.

I'm sorry if what I'm doing has offended you.

It didn't offend me, but.
Steam doesn't have to offer regional pricing, they do it so everyone can buy the games.
If everyone would go and abuse it, steam would just remove it and the people living in the regions with low incomes would have to save up a lot of money to even buy cheap games.

I honestly just wanted to make the best use my pocket money.
I guess I'll just buy a Gamepass and call it a day.

However you can. Go to bank in Argentina and get one. Find a friend with a card who is willing to take a risk. It's up to you

I love playing Civ 6 with my friends. But other than that I haven't played many RTS titles.
Can you suggest some good old HLTB titles?

If your steam info is correct - you are from Estonia ?
If you are a student you should get an ISIC card, which is the standart now in Europe. As a student you dont have to pay for it. It works as your student ID card and as a card. You dont need a credit card.

And voila - get a bunch of 1 EUR bundles and play. (I understand students have problems with money, I was living in dorms for 7 years while having tight situation with money. But I dont think 1 EUR is something you cant spare if you want to play games.. Humble still offers great first tier bundles and fanatical is getting better as well)

Thank you. I've already looked at this. Sadly it doesn't answer my questions.

What do you suggest I do regarding a paying method from Argentina?

Well, you haven't given us much information to go with. So first thing is: which of the use cases mentioned in the article applies to your specific situation?

I don't want to accuse someone, but as it seems by his responses, he wants it to abuse the steam regional pricing.
Argentina is a region with very low steam prices.

Yeah. I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. I actually was planning on buying games at regional prices since they're cheap.

I know ;) I'm just trying for him to see for himself how ridiculous his request is.

Is it really that ridiculous?

You are openly admitting on a public platform that you're trying to find a way to break Steam's TOS, I'd say that's ridiculous yes.

I know you don't have many, but you could start by playing your wins. And 450 achievements in Company of Heroes 2 all gained at the same time doesn't count.

Lol. I used Steam Achievement Manager to mess around with my achievements. Sorry if I mislead you.
