Will you play these games with pride?
Awww thanks.
Sometimes it's pretty hard to find on-the-spot inspiration after so many polls, but even with these limitations I'm happy that they can still bring a smile time to time.

There was a thread about this a while ago:

Oh, here comes my taste in games apparently. Might throw a € to getting the T1 game but I'm also interested in 2064.
Don't think T3 is relevant to me. I've played Coffee Talk (good VA-11 Hall-A clone), I'm one of the probably very few with 100% achievements in Monster Prom but I'm not getting the second game because I'm not going through that again, and Lost Embers doesn't seem to be my thing.

i don't dis like LGBTQ people or anything in fact i just watch a show here in the UK which was a sort of party/information drive around words and items to do with LGBTQ - it was hosted by https://www.youtube.com/c/JoeLycettComedian which i really enjoyed but i don't really think this is a very good bundle

More like they're playing with pride to try and sell a very underwhelming bundle. Cringy title and problematic if you think about it..
EDIT: But the..pole, was enjoyable as always!

That too but either way it just feels like they're just trying too much to benefit from it.
Incidentally did you just blacklist me or was it older? 'Cause I bet with myself that I'd get at least a new one, because of the comment that people would misunderstand, and I won! But you seemed to get it..

Must have been older. I never blacklist people for their comments, unless they are raging haters and I also put them on my ignore list so obviously not the case. And definitely not for comments like yours so if you get one for that, it won't be from me.
I think it was mostly a ratio thing but bygones. You're off the blacklist.

Way past Pride month to use that to sell meh bundles, IGN but regardless, T1 and 2 are underwhelming. There are way better games that would fit the theme that would have been better for those. T3 is expensive for the content.
I played Lost Ember and found it underwhelming. Monsters Prom games might be fun but not really my genre. Coffee Talk I have wishlisted but I'd rather get on sale.
Basically, I have too much pride to fall for this, IGN ;)

Don't get me wrong, I think Pride is a year round thing, just like Valentines Day or Mothers Day but it feels that IGN is just using that as an excuse to bundle dating sim games. There were a lot more games with any combination of LGBTQ+ characters that could and should have been in a proper Pride bundle.

Please don't forget that even if there are more/other games that could potentially fit the genre of such a bundle, not every developer/publisher might actually want their game to be bundled or only want their games to be part of certain bundles but not others. :)

I realize that and it probably goes double with IGN because they have a lot of publishers that don't trust them anymore but if they can only do an average bundle for a theme, they can just scrap the theme and just offer the same charity.
There are also a lot of publishers/devs of indie games with the LGBTQ tag who prefer bundling with Fanatical so they're not necessarily against bundles.

I sort of think this is a bundle they'd liked to have run during pride month but couldn't. One possibility is they were negotiating but something fell through or someone changed their mind or whatever.
But more likely the problem might be that pride month isn't a great month for game bundles. They need to run them early enough so they don't overlap with the Steam sales, but even then some developers might not want to run a bundle so close to the sales. And nowadays there are all the other sales, including Epic, GoG and Humble's own sales which happen before Steam's (for obvious reasons) which some developers may care about.
And for better or worse, a pride bundle is likely to get lower priority than some more popular oriented bundle. So even if it would fit somewhere by itself, if it doesn't work with other bundles it may lose out. I mean I don't know how Humble decides schedules but they definitely have lows during the major sale times. And I strongly suspect it's a mix of what Humble thinks will work, and what they agreed to with those publishers in the bundle, the more major publishing getting much more control in the schedule including in what else can be running during their bundle.
Remember also if IIRC, they did have 2 specifically pride month related non game bundles, and besides those bundles which made the Trevor project their charity, it was also the featured charity so anyone who doesn't have a preferred will have been donating to it the whole of June. Admittedly there's far fewer CYOC nowadays, but still some, and there's also the store sales. Plus I think Choice always goes by the featured charity not CYOC.
And it's always possible some publishers might have preferred to reserve pride month for non bundle sales, who knows. I mean even if it's none of these, if Humble has experience a publisher says not June because it doesn't fit with our promotional schedule, they might not have tried.

You make good points. And the Steam summer sale is definitely an issue in June.
I guess timing really doesn't matter much since they made some "more popular" bundles that benefited the Trevor Project in June.
I wish the bundle had been more diverse in genres though.

This would have been perfect for me, and worth it for Coffee Talk alone had I not already caved and picked up that and Monster Prom 2 last month. I also don’t mind them doing an LGBT bundle after pride, they’re donating to the Trevor Project so it’s relevant. Pride is year round for me :)

You're right. The Trevor Project is a worthy cause. They deserved a better bundle though. I think most people who are into those games (and I mean the genre, not the LGBTQ tag) would have them already.
Pride is year round for me :)
Heh I was just typing that in another post on the thread. Pride and Valentines Day are not one-off holidays, people. All year long.

I think it's absolutely worth money-wise, unless you have some serious regional discounts on Steam. And if you don't want to wait to get a possible, non-guaranteed bundle in the future.
Monster Prom 2's historical low is 7.5€
Monster Prom 1 was in a monthly I think eons ago, but outside of that its lowest was 2.9€, the DLC's 2.8€ (5.27€ in a Steam bundle)
Coffee Talk's lowest was 4.2€
It's finicky to try to judge on-steam and offsite historical lows to your currency, but in euro the three games (I assume, from "Monster Prom games" you want has the minimum historical price of ~16€.
In group buys I guess you can sell Lost Ember easily for ~2€ , and you're at half of the games' historical low price.

Thanks for the in depth talk about it, certainly makes me wanna buy it more (which now i probably will lol), but its also the fact that i've got quite a few games to mow through, although also after looking into the games they seem relatively short playthrough wise so having a break from my long story based games with these certainly wont hurt :)

Oh, Humble. Bless your heart. You tried. lol
As for the bundle? I'll have to look into the games, because I've not much info on any of them. I've heard some are good.
