This made me laugh because I went through a similar thought process.

Me: I just spent my gaming budget on the Steam sale! No more!

Me 10 seconds later: Fine, I'll buy it!

Useless bundle for me. Dating sims are not very fun. Lost Ember looks kinda interesting though but too expensive.

+1.dating sims are crappy games imoh. this bundle worth only for Lost Ember and Coffee Talk but it is a bit pricey only for 2 games

Yes buying Lost Ember separately is cheaper. Even on Steam.

Anyone got a clue when they are gonna add a decent bundle again ?

the choice is a decent bundle. Deep Rock Galactic is a coop shooter much appreciated from the steam community. even this bundle is good and has decents games but it have less games and I find it a little more pricey

Well have to strongly disagree there... but to each his own I guess.

By calling it the Play with Pride bundle, only allies and indifferent people will buy it. They should be tricking homophobes into buying the bundle and then donating their money to the gays instead

I thought it was pretty tasty. Would you buy a "Hitler did nothing wrong" bundle? Does it really only matter which games are in the bundle? There is something deliciously ironic about tricking Nazis to donate to a Jewish charity.

At first I thought you were joking, but I see how you could think that's what I was getting at. I was trying to say that tricking people into donating to people they hate is funny. I'm straight with no hate in my heart, it was a misunderstanding unless you were joking, in which case I fell for it, kudos

No need to apologize, I was not very clear and I think your response was reasonable and appropriate considering what you thought I was getting at.

May be funny to think of tricking homophobes but also a terrible idea. This isn't a charity only bundle, and even if it was, the developers don't just sell or give away their games for the heck of it. They want people to play and hopefully enjoy them. This means more possible sales of other games of theirs which aren't in the bundle or of DLCs etc, word of mouth to others who might buy the game etc. And even without that, most people who make content ultimately hope that someone will enjoy their content, be touched by it etc so it's probably a success for them for any buy of this bundle where that happens even without anything else.

The last thing they want are people who are going to give negative reviewers just because their game depicts an LGBT relationship or person. I mean if the reviewer makes their homophobia clear in their review then it might be deleted by Steam or hopefully at least downvoted enough that it might not really count. But plenty of people won't and will just claim it's boring/whatever.

I mean I'm sure no developer of these games cares if a homophobe hates it because of their homphobia. Actually I remember long ago Ragnar Tørnquist said someone wrote to them to say they liked The Longest Journey but didn't like that it had a lesbian couple or something and they should exclude that in future games or the person wouldn't play their games. (I can't remember the exact story and can't be bothered trying to find it but it was something like that.) And Tørnquist wrote back telling them he's be happy if they didn't play his game. I suspect all the developers of the games have similar feelings.

But the problem is as much as they feel like that, they also know it's unfortunately true average reviews etc on Steam do make a difference to their sales so as funny as it may be to trick a homophobe into buying their game, it's more likely to harm them then help them. Most of the games have been around long enough with enough reviews that some review bombing from homophobes who accidentally bought a Humble bundle isn't going to make any difference, but the generally idea remains, what the developers want is for people to buy their games who might enjoy them so there's no point tricking people who are going to hate a game because of their homophobia.

One possible exception which I don't think applies to any of these games would be if the game is made in such a way that it's intended to challenge someone and make them think. (An example I can think of would be a character or relationship which if LGBT but not something you learn about until quite late in the game. So that hopefully some people who were fine with the person or relationship before will at least at the back of their minds think, why does what I learnt make a difference? Something which will probably not completely change their outlook but which may hopefully be one of the many nudges which might eventually lead to a change. In that case, "tricking" someone who would have avoided the game because of their (probably mild) homophobia might be useful probably even at the possible cost of a negative review. But that's a specific case.

I hope you realised in time that nowadays Humble Bundle sets the 25 euro price as a default in their bundles, while for example in this bundle in particular, top tier costs only 9,62 euro.

It's one thing to decide where the money goes, another to decide how much. Interesting misdierction by Humble, even if probably not intentional 😅

not a bad bundle but not very convenient for only 3 games that interest me and all are in the T3. I prefer to buy the Outright Games bundle instead which gives you more games for the same price
