As far as I know, the lawsuit between Frogwares and Nacon over this game still hasn't been settled and this version is not supported by the developer and doesn't represent the latest state in terms of updates/patches.

That lawsuit will never be resolved. The French justice system is notoriously bloated and going at a snail pace and it's not rare for civil lawsuits to go on for a decade. One of them will probably end up bankrupt before any final decision is rendered.
The entire affair is a shameful one. I will not buy the game out of principle but it's really sad because I would have liked to play it very much and the work that was put into it is obvious.

Didn't the dev provide some piratebay torrent at one point with the latest patch for people that got it on steam or something? Like a manual patching.
This was before the whole lawsuit was more widely known and people had gotten it on steam already.

i read some people in the internet say the steam version miss some contents that the epic\console version have, but i dont know if is a lie or not
edit:
this
"The version from this "Steam" website is old. It's probably the version from the original release date, so it has a few glitches that the one from Frogwares doesn't have, and one DLC pack, which includes three missions, is not available here."

It was true when posted and it is pretty likely that the publisher took the DLC without the developer's consent and released it on Steam since the legal battle was already going on back then. In any case, the Steam version doesn't have any updates/patches since 2021.

No one said anything about multiplayer. You can keep on convincing yourself that your purchase was a good decision, I couldn't care less. Fact is: there have been updates released by the developer that include bug fixes. These updates are not on Steam. You have bought a technically inferior, older version.
Also there is another story DLC named "Merciful Madness" that is in the console versions and was in the PC versions on GamesPlanet, EA/Origin and Epic but it's not on Steam. And: no, it's not part of the "Worshippers of the Necronomicon" DLC nor is it part of the main game on Steam (anymore since Nacon had to revert from their cracked version to their own older vanilla version).

Yup. They bought the complete game on gamesplanet, cracked it and added it to the steam page. Frogwares made a video explaining it all, they basically cracked it, took some logos/options out but kept the original file names so the Nacon intro logo is named gamesplanet in the files, and other things.

That cracked version included the "Worshippers of the Necronomicon" DLC and the "Merciful Madness" DLC but not the "Investigator Pack" DLC but they later had to revert to their own older vanilla version on Steam. That's why the "Merciful Madness" DLC is not on Steam since Frogwares holds the sole rights to that one and only the rights to the main game and the other two DLCs are in question.

Supposedly the Epic Store is from Frogware, it shows in the search result https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/browse?q=The%20Sinking%20City&sortBy=relevancy&sortDir=DESC&count=40 but if you click it the page gives a 404 or doesn't load with just a https://store.epicgames.com/site/p url.
It's not on Origins anymore, nor gamesplanet so is it really just torrenting to get the latest version now?

yes it is no longer available in the epic store. it returned in the stores but only on steam and microsoft store. I'm not sorry at all. steam is better

Since it's gone from Epic, GOG, Gamesplanet and so on, yeah, your only option is to get the "good" version by Frogware (latest build, patched and with several bugs fixed) it via a third party, or buying the physical editions for consoled. I think there's a physical version for PC that includes an Epic code, but I'm not sure about that.
I've tried to find it via torrent but I don't seem to be able to find the latest DRM-Free version that was released on GOG or Gamesplanet.

yep im asking because im not sure if get the game at 85% at a nice price...but with dlcs its a bit expensive...xD

So, reading the comments there seems to be two choices (if you don't count outright torrenting the game....) which is either;
I mean... For the person that really wants to play the game that's not a tough choice is it? If (and that's a big IF) the court case is resolved in any reasonable time this edition would most likely be updated, no? And get the missing DLC's available for purchase?
And if not... Well then this is it, the only chance you get.

70 euro in spain not cheap...
i ve seen is 6 month ago post ...sorry

Not possible to get it cheap right now AFAIK. You won't get anything extra from activating a base game key, besides having a patched/up to date version of the game. The only possible ways to get it cheap were during the winter steam sale when it was 90% off and grabbing the investigator dlc. OR if you got it DRM free from gamesplanet when the deluxe edition it was like $9, they're giving past purchases steam keys I think

No Steam key on my purchase of The Sinking City - Deluxe Edition from uk.gamesplanet.com game page, just the game download files.
Edit: According to the FAQ GamesPlanet are supposed to contact me and provide a Steam key. The waiting game begins
