Racing Games?

That's the reason why i dislike GRID, game was made in the ice age.

Controller? It runs soft as a baby with keyboard. Maybe you can't... handle it. Try out Test drive unlimited 2 I guess.

The Trackmania series is pretty good. Look up the free to play game first.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is free for the weekend and is worth playing if you like kart style racing games.

And a few non Steam games now.
Screamer and POD Gold from GOG are both great arcade racing games.
Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast from other places if you don't mind that. Not sure of legal places unfortunately, though maybe a physical copy could be located.

Same problem for me. Tried several times to play Grid 1 with keyboard, wheel and gamepad. Best gaming with gamepad but still car handles like I was driving on ice. I couldn't even drive straight. Try out TDU 2. It's great game or NFS Hot pursuit. Burnout is also good but it's very repetitive. Basically u have to drive same tracks over and over, but there is tons of cars and damage system is really cool!

Need for Speed II SE (recommended to play it with a glide wrapper)

Trackmania. Old NFS games. Burnout Paradise. Older Burnout games, although they're for console. I liked Ridge Racer 7 for the few minutes that I played it. Grid 2 is okay, but the menus are annoying. I can still play without skidding on keyboard somehow though, although I try to choose non-drift cars.
