- How do I backup user tags?
- How do you solve the "You are not logged in to Steam" message? Relogin to Steam, relogin to SG, and even restarting the browser doesn't seem to work. It just solves itself at some point but I've been unable to understand this behavior.

Nope. In my transition from Firefox to Chrome I had to manually re-tag everyone again.
I'm using the syncing feature of Chrome now so I hope it gets saved, but I have no official information on the topic.

Nah, I just moved from one computer to another using Chrome sync on both, and although it made life a lot easier, the one thing it didn't actually save were the details of my extensions. No idea where those must be saved, but I had to retag everyone as well.

Yea, luckily for me I copy pasted all the things I needed into a notepad beforehand. My adblock exceptions, my tampermonkey Steamgifts++ download URL, etc.
Still, rest assured the sync will be a huge time-saver for the most part. Anyway, thanks for the replies!

I just wiped my OS and struggled to restore my SG++ settings (with Firefox, Greasemonkey and Windows 7) so I thought I would share my experience.
- In any case you should back up your profile folder ("C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\").
- If you want to restore Firefox exactly the same as it was before you can just copy your profile folder back after the wipe.
- If you want to have a fresh start with Firefox but still want your settings back (for me it was mostly for the user comments) you can go inside your old profile folder and copy the "gm_scripts" folder into your new profile, this will install your Greasemonkey scripts again. Next you can copy the "webappsstore.sqlite" file into your new profile to restore all settings.
What I found out by coincidence though is that the "webappsstore.sqlite" file also restores a problem I have had lately. Sometimes when i visit SG i get two pop-ups telling me I am not logged into Steam. I just click okay and the site works as usual. I am still not sure what the cause is but it seems to be related to my SG++ settings as it only reappeared after restoring them.

Hey, so I'll try to keep this brief, I've checked the other 2 links and both seemed sorta abandoned; as in no new comments.
Been a couple days since I noticed SG++ just wont SAVE config, it does work for me, but every time I fireup SG I see the old style (original's site) and so I enter the settings and it's ALL unchecked... Re-configure everything, click the blue box top left corner and sure enough it looks good.
Great!, so whenever I close the tab, when reopen it's all over again.. Geez, it was funny the first 50 times but now I'm done re-setting everything THIS OFTEN!
I do use Tampermonkey, no, haven't noticed updating nor breaking the script like few posts above mine; just the whole thing wont SAVE, and cookies and whitelisting it's good on Chrome.
That's it, hopefully someone can provide help, this is getting kinda annoying :P

The new community wishlist page is broken due to SGPP running at '/giveaways/wishlist'. Wanted to fix this myself, but I am running on OSX and the makefile / build process is broken as well. :D

For some reason Steamgifts++ isn't working for me anymore. It is activated and up to date, but it doesn't work with Steamgifts anymore. All my user notes are gone, can't add any, the setting aren't available anymore, as if I didn't have it installed.

Nope, I get it, you use the script with that function.
The fact is there's a lot of people out there that blacklist guys who use scripts (like this) to enter giveaways with one click and to leave premade "thank you" messages.
It was and advice, not a critique. If I were in your shoes, I'd stop using that function.

a new issue has popped up with the changes cg made with hiding games. When infinite scroll is on, It's no longer possible to hide games from page 2 onward.

I can't install the script anymore (sinse the new version of tampermonkey) =\\
In the newer version of tampermonkey, it shows the install button and freezes the page.
Even removing all other extensions.

Here it actually happens only while using the comment+enter button. Using comment alone afterwards (after reloading the page) works without problems. FF 45.0.1 + Greasmonkey, haven't tried on other configs yet.

Thanks for the update. It works now to hide one game. After hiding one game if I try to hide another by clicking on the hide icon (crossed out eye) it wont display the box to confirm that you want to hide a game. Need to refresh the page to hide a second game. I see no errors in console. I'm using Chrome/Tampermonkey.

For those wanting an immediate fix for SG++, you have to change the URLs from http to https in two lines in the dashboard, lines 7 and 19.
You'll have to re-enable your settings in the menu.
Tested in Chrome, not tested in Firefox

Many people have it working in Firefox now.
The buttons in the menu itself are still wonky, but clicking on them worked for me and applied the settings.

Wont fix it for me, the scrpt appears to be runing, except I can't access the "config" to set it, under your user, in the top right corner.. Since a few weeks ago, I HAD to re-set reconfigure grid display, popup and reversed scrolling, EVERY SINGLE EFFIN' DAY! now, it just wont run.
This morning when I entered SG, and saw it all white (default theme) I knew something bad happened! XD
I could restore the SGdark theme alright, but the SG++ wont just work. It says it's on, I've replased the http to https but no dice.
WTH happened? cant they just leave something working fine or at least check they dont completely trash it while playing? what is this, kinder garden? Steam/Valve basement? XD
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy and I love SG++ (and dark theme ofc) it's free and it's awesome, so I just said all that in a humorous manner, mean no harm or insult :P

When I logged in this morning all scripts seem to have been wiped out of existance. I can still see that Greasemonkey icon in my navbar, but I can't access the settings for SG++. I'm on Firefox.
I added the site URL to the script, but it's only working for the frontpage, nowhere else. HELP!! Please! SG without SG++ is a nightmare!

You need to change http to https in all 3 places of the script.
It works for me again, although all my tags are gone and I'm on chrome, so I cannot use SQLite Browser like Budgie did :/ Does anyone know what I should do with my localstorage file?

I went through this whole bunch of code at least five times, using different search terms ("http", "steamgifts", "www.steamgifts"), but I only found two, one pretty much at the beginning, one in said line. It's working again though, so I must have done something right. Oh thank God, and thank you, geo ♥

You can get your tags and other settings back in Chrome by doing this:
- close chrome
- open windows explorer and navigate to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\<profile name>\Local Storage
- rename two files:

http_www.steamgifts.com_0.localstorage-journal
to:
https_www.steamgifts.com_0.localstorage

I'm on Mac but the path is very similar and obviously I already found the files because of using them to import. I was thinking about renaming but wasn't brave enough :) Will just do it, it's gonna save me a lot of time. Thanks in advance!

sg+ is broken for me since yesterday =(
I use the version above with greasemonkey and firefox, but suddenly the script doesnt load for me..
its installed, but it doesnt appear as "triggered"

Changed three lines in the script from "http" to "https", changed "@match http://www.steamgifts.com/" to "@include ://www.steamgifts.com" but nothing changed.

Enabling Modules
SG++ is modular, therefore, only two features are enabled by default: Fixed Navbar and Scrolling Sidebar.
You can enable more modules by going to the account dropdown and clicking "SG++ Settings" ( check screenshot attached).
After saving the page will be reloaded.
Known Issues
Scrolling sidebar might break on some pages.
Fixed footer bug on FAQ page.
