My giveaway for http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/YTlf6/chivalry-medieval-warfare ended and I sent the gifts, one person responded saying they recieved the gift and the other user has accepted and activated the gift into their library, but will not come back onto the site to reply that they have received it. I have talked with them and they said thank you and I tried explaining to them that they needed to come back on here to show they received it, but they just don't seem to understand. What should I do or what can I do about this?

Steam chat log:
3:22 PM - (Hidden): please make sure to goto steamgifts and click on giveaways>view won then set it so it says you recieved the gift, otherwise I won't be able to giveaway more games.

3:22 PM - (Hidden): ok i activated it and everything so it should be a problem i logged in online but that was it accpeted it through my steam client

Closing thread since there seems to be no solutions by users and I've now submitted a support ticket to try for a solution.

Remove the other guys name, so you don't get suspended.

You've been on the site a fucking year and haven't ever bothered reading the site rules?

Wow..

I have read the rules a few times.
This is the only line from the rules that semi apply:
"Please do not call out users in the forum or chat. Submit a ticket in the Support Forum."

But my mind reads things literally until someone points it out to me, so in a literal sense that statement says not to call out users in the forums or chat, but I was not calling them out. I was providing reference, but now that I've had the statement reworded so I comprehended it as "calling out" is just naming someone at all. So I will now no longer place any name of any person in a post ever.

... You were calling them out. Nothing needs to be reworded in the FAQ to make this count. You were saying person <x> did something bad / negative, then proceeded to show a chat log where you named this person. Whether you're directly saying "HEY GUYS YOU KNOW WHAT THIS DUDE DID?" or not, calling out is calling out. Intentional or not. It can cause all kinds of problems.

On the contrary, all it causes is proper justice. The wrong-doer gets shamed and he is more likely to be banned since everyone knows about it.

Yes, I said it.

Wait ... I thought your version was just an urban myth!

Calling out yes this is an urban dictionary term.

But according to it's definition it is meant in a challenge. What I posted was not to challenge the person as I stated before, but as a reference to what was said. there is a difference.

You've been on the site a fucking year and you're still a worthless leach in all of your giveaway groups?

Wow..

...

Why not directly link them to http://www.steamgifts.com/manage/won???

Anyway, what country are they from? What language do they speak?

I will try that.

.. I repeat, what country are they from? You could try using Google Translate to communicate with them..

They are from the US and live like 20 minutes from where I live, at least if their profile is up to date. So I'd have to assume they may be young since the speech pattern is a bit under developed. I tried telling the person and yet again it seems they just don't understand.

God, you don't need to be an asshole.

This is why it's a good idea to set at least $1 CV on your giveaways (especially non-bundle games). At least then you know the person understands how the site works as they have given at least 1 game themselves.

As for this, if they won't respond it's possible support will help if you show your gift history as proof.

.. Come now, you know as well as I do that there are such incredible nincompoops on this site, that even making a GA wouldn't make them wise to the "mysterious ancient ways of the gifts machine". To them SG is like some eldritch puzzle they can't figure out, no matter how simple, in actuality :Þ

Well, it at least ups the chances that the winner will have some idea how the site works.

In my experience, the higher the CV the smoother the gift giving process is. Not saying all Low/No CV users are idiots but the bad apples spoil the bunch as it were.

They did activate the gift, not just store it. But thank you for the suggestion anyways.

A wishful solution would be to be marked as received automatically after X period of time (what was it - 6 days after giveaway?), this way when you can't do anything about it you won't be held responsible and won't have to worry bout anything... it's weird you gotta stalk people so you don't end up in trouble yourself... a foolproof system as described above at least sorts that out. Could be abused but i doubt it be any different than now...
