I completed the game in 1 hour and 9 minutes. I died 284 (my record is a bit below 250) times and I did the hardest part veni vidi vici in 27 deaths. I live streamed it all, for non believers rewatch here: Deman vvvvvvv speedrun + all trinkets.
Had to redo the game because of the 2.0 patch.

Oh yeah, I saw that 2.0 deleted my save game.
I just completed it (3,5 hours or so) exited, noticed VVVVVV started downloading something, entered the game and everything was gone. I guess I'm happy I finished it or it would of deleted my save midgame. :/

Game only takes 1.5 hour to finish or less if you don't go for the trinkets.

Oh I know. I must just have over played it a bit, when I say I finished it I did almost everything there was to do in the game.
Chances are I'll come back to it in a year or play it on the train on my netbook some time.

In 2.0 there are custom levels + level editor. Most of the levels are insanely hard and very very long.

Although it sounds like their is a new issue with save games related to a recent update. When I played it earlier this year I had a problem with my save games disapearing after almost every play session.

I found out that VVVVVV is made with Flash and is forced to store it's save games in the Flash cache that is used in your browser. Every time I cleared that cache using CCleaner, I would lose my save game. I learned to backup the VVVVVV save game folder after every play session.

vvvvvvv doesnt use flash anymore. Check the newest version it's 2.0 and rewritten entirely in #C.
