Im curious about why does one find black holes interesting/fascinating. It doesn't do it for me๐ค

How much do you know about black holes?
I have studied physics & astronomy and from that point of view black holes are quite a lot of fun as they mix up classical (pre-Einstein/pre-quantum mechanics) physics with concepts like curved space (+dragging of space-time, if you considere rotating black holes) and nucleons not holding up to the pressure anymore. As they are not fully understood yet, they are even more facinating.

My understanding is in the level of a layman.
But I suppose it must be quite intriguing to you as an academician. Puts all ur cool space pics into perspective :)
