Hm i still don't see what that guy did wrong.
Nevertheless you are right. I know that you should not call someone out even if he did break the rules. i just wanted to point out that a reason for this might be that one can falsely accuse people who did not do anything wrong and are now in everybodies focus.

Only got one blacklisted person who regifted a game he won then got suspended from it till he activated it.(Hooray the system works!)
Plus he was begging on forums and he misused the trade rep and said I added him and tried to scam him so waiting for a support member to get to me so I can show I never added him since Steam keeps records of all friend adds and you can check on activity feed of your account and friend adds as well.

This is a very wrong way (and as people already mentioned possibly against the rules) to go about marking people as blacklisted.
A lot of people BL just because they didn't like a person comment, had a bad mood, didn't like his/her GA, randomly etc' so copying this subjectively and arbitrary nature of people behaviour doesn't give you any insight of whether a person deserve to be blacklisted from you.
In short, blacklist people YOU think are offensive, irritating etc' not what other think.
And because this is a move of a sheeple, and I hate conformists, you'll be the first person I blacklist.

I don't think I'm arguing with anyone. I already remove those links after limathompson remain me the first general guidelines ( I miss that one about calling out thing ). most of my comments are just about jokes and counter-respon about some people whose like to troll in someone post instead give them clear argumentation. and that's including your deleted comment.
now I'm asking you a question, don't you think Mr. Amorphism also calling me out to his blacklist here?

What you quoted isn't a rule, it's just a tip on how I think a person should go about blacklisting people.
As for rules:
Guidelines:
Use the appropriate avenues for support. If you have an issue with another user, submit a ticket with a user report, rather than calling them out within the community or on the forum.
In this case your thread encourages people to share their issue (blacklist means they have an issue with a person) with the rest of the community on the forum.

limathompson already did that a while ago. and I already remove those links. but thank you for reminding.

I have somewhat big blacklist... Though only 35 people that I actually have a reason pinpointed (and that's for breaking the rules - most of them regifters and couple gave away free games). The rest - I think were caught not reading descriptions and/or using scripts (and yes - that might be a petty reason, but I don't like when people do that).
But I don't think sharing that would be a good idea. Maybe those people will fix their behaviour after suspension, maybe not - but in any case that would be calling out and only cause flame wars.
BTW - in real life public shaming as practice died in what - 18th century?

i've reached the limit in my blacklist.i usually add people giving away free games, not activating games, making fake giveaways or having like 100-200 more games won than given.i'll have to clean my blacklist one of these days when i find time to check everyone and keep in it only who really deserve it and remove the rest

Never have blacklisted before and never will. I don't really care about people over the internet, they are definitely not worth the two clicks it takes to blacklist them. I just ignore them and carry on with my internet life, but some people asking for more and more of this features are retarded and intolerant.

I don't see any trolls here, your thread was aggressive to begin with and now that you have been told so you should just close it immediately and move on. Not that I care, but if you continue to keep it open it doesn't really serve any other purpose than baiting more weird comments and giving you attention/entertainment without any point really.

I'll just close this thread now because same as you didn't understand at first that you shouldn't post these, some others seem to not get it either.
There are quite a lot of threads about the reasons users blacklist others, so feel free to search the forum, if you want to check out users' opinions.

Up until now, I only have 4 account in my blacklist page. all of them are breaking the rule about "not activating won gift". I want to add more of them before the next GA. so they won't get any chance to win my GA. please share your blacklist here.
thanks

I'll close this post later. other than asking about blacklist, I'm curios about how people interact to other on the internet. especially here. most of us are not knowing each other. net even our age or gender. but yes, trolls everywhere

and thank you some people for your awareness to deleting your own troll comment.
