New counter does not decrease

On the main page, left side Browse menu, New counter does not decrease if I scroll through the pages. I though this will only show new giveaways since last visit or something.

Depends how they define new. New might be giveaways made within the last X hours, or since last visit, neither of those would matter when you scroll.
