This was Sony's race to lose. Glad they stuck with the consumers instead of the publishers, they'll make a lot more money this way! Publishers are probably handcuffed now and Microsoft made them out to look like greedy assholes. My manager, who's a huge XBox fanboy, told me publishers aren't going to make games for PS4 if they allow used games and I laughed saying no way would publishers give up such a huge market share just because the PS4 allows used games.
XBox forgot one thing, consumers have options. With the RROD, consumers had reason to rebuy XBox 360s, because they had a whole library of games already and there was no sense in getting rid of it. Now what's the benefit for somebody to stick with the XBox One? It's not backwards compatible so all those games are useless. It's basically a clean slate between which system people want to purchase and looking at how greedy MS has gotten with the XBox and how consumer friendly Sony has gotten with the PS4, why would people want to buy an XBone?
That all being said, PC gaming still wins!! =P
