Hey! I just found this site and already am working on leveling up. This is a great place to be! However, I need help understanding how leveling up works.
I've done some research and what I've been able to find in other places on the forums is that a user will reach level 2 after contributing roughly $25 worth of games. Now, I've given away 6 games so far and have reached a level of 1.36. However, the last game I gave sells for $15 on steam and my level only increased by about 0.1. By my understanding, it should have gone up at least 0.5. Please help me better understand how leveling up works.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to help out the new users!

You only get a portion of the value of games that have been highly discounted or part of bundles. The exact percentages are in the FAQ. https://www.steamgifts.com/about/faq

Also small sidenote but CV is added to your account after they're marked as received from the winner so anything at the "Awaiting Feedback" stage does not yet count.

And finally: don't look too much into levelling. It can be a fun game, but there is no actual pay-off. It is barely more than the Steam profile levelling game.
Unless you grind all the way up to level 10, spending an assload of money, so you can see the small button that gives you free ice cream.
