I created a giveaway for Bastion (either yesterday or the day before, I forget exactly) and set the time on it to last until the end of June. I was just curious how many people had entered, but when I went to my created list, it wasn't there anymore! Why would that be?

I just made a new one though and set it to last until Friday night, so maybe it'll get to run the full course this time. Here is the link for it if anyone is interested.

Was it an unused key from the Humble Bundle V?
If it is, you aren't allowed to give it away as a giveaway.

Yes it was in fact... I didn't know I couldn't give it away. I had bought Bastion ages ago and talked all my friends who play PC games to buy it too, so I don't have anyone left to give it to... So why shouldn't I be able to give it away?

edit: I see people giving away humble bundles on here all the time, so maybe I'm just a little confused...

Still didn't read rules.

It's one of the rules.

  • Do not submit individual games from indie game bundles, e.g. Humble Bundle, Indie Royale, etc.

Most of the bundles (including Humble) have some sort of ToS or disclaimer that says the keys are for personal use only, and not to be separated from the rest of the bundle. I assume it's mostly to prevent people from using the DRM free downloads themselves and passing the Steam keys on to other people.

Steamgifts likes to abide by those terms. A full, unused bundle gift URL can be given away, but individual game keys are (supposed to be) prohibited. Sometimes they slip through the cracks, but if a mod spots one it will be removed.

That's because the HIB giveaways you see are unused giftable URLs, not Steam keys. Hope that clears that up.

You can give away a full bundle, with all games present. You can't separate that bundle into pieces and give away individual games from it though. I think they have this rule so people don't take advantage of bundles' low costs to gain high amounts of contributor credit.
