"Gifts On Deck" has a strong emphasis on gifting games that can be played and are enjoyable on the Steam Deck. Exclusive only to members of a profile that has purchased a Steam Deck.

To join:

  1. When you buy a Steam Deck, you can claim rewards on your account. Before requesting to join, display those "untradable steam deck items" that you received when claiming. The items must be on your profile/item showcase at the time you request to join (or in your inventory if you've made it public). Leave the items on your profile at least until I have verified and added you to the group. [If you haven't claimed your rewards, click on your avatar in the top right and you'll see it in the menu.]

  2. Post a comment below about your steam deck (a favorite game or what you're currently playing, etc). I will reply to your comment when you've been accepted. I will no longer accept any requests to join the group without a comment in this thread.

Since all steamdeck verified games are available to play on pc as well, I assume none needed such group so far.

why some people have only got a Steam deck and maybe if I get one it'll be me since I use Windows 7 still

Sounds a bit unlikely to me people would pay for steamdeck and haven't got a pc. But yeah, due to my work is pc a priority for me. Others may just have devices only for gaming.

But it’s a fantastic machine to give to a child oh 14 or so. That way he can have a potato PC for homework and such and a Deck for playing

I grew up with jumpnrun 2d plattformers and still love them. but i never played a lot of them on my pc because i rarely plug in my controller. the moment they ve announced the steam deck i knew i will play all my steam games which i prefer to play with controller (not with mouse)
i see you made the first group GA and that game is exactly what i am talking about XD

Added the animated icon to my item showcase. I think the border around my avatar is the steam deck one.

Favorite game for steamdeck: Maneater - feels like this game was made for the steamdeck - runs flawlessly and is super responsive.
Game I'm 100% on it now is Dead Cells

I was super blessed and grateful to be able to receive the Steam deck for Christmas, it's so nice to have a handheld with some of my favorite games and since I play the Nintendo Switch a lot, the changeover has been pretty smooth and I can get games I would normally get for switch on my steam deck for a lot cheaper instead!
(I have the Dex-85 keyboard in my item showcase!)

The Steam Deck just feels a lot more comfortable than the switch even though it's heavier. The sticks and grip feel much better. Added

I have the neon special profile from owning a Steam Deck, I think that's proof enough but let me know if you need more.

So far, I haven't used it that much, but I've been enjoying Neon Abyss on it a lot. It's a great device for platformers, plus I save on battery life over more graphics-intensive games. Other than that, previously I've been playing Valkyria Chronicles, Yakuza, and other games that just play really well on an handheld device.

I'm only playing games on Steam Deck while on on-call duty at work.
Right now I'm playing The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante, the previous ones were Youropa and Lacuna.

The first time I read your message I thought you said "while on-call of duty". I haven't had coffee yet. I finished Sir Brante on steam deck as well... it was interesting how little decisions change the game later on. Added.

Its hard to find games to specifically play on the deck only for me. I have been using its to remote play mostly. Looking forward to group discussions to try and get something I can play on the go.

I really haven't used it much yet due to personal trouble I'm going through. I've tried it with Goat Escape and one of the GRID games. With Goat Escape it goes sweet, as far as it's my first portable gaming experience (of my own property I mean). Right now I'm waiting to have enough energy to use the Dock and see if I can play split-screen with 2 gamepads on my TV, but it's not lazyness, just lack of motivation. But since now I'm playing games more than in the last 2 years, I think it's going to be great.

Hello, friend, I would like to join the group if possible. I think I only have the Steam Deck keyboards since I bought them from an unofficial store (In Brazil we only have this option to purchase since they don't sell them officially). Currently addicted to Vampire Survivors

Love my SD, even upgraded to OLED from LCD. It's the perfect machine for roguelike games (Hades, Binding of Isaac) but also RPGs like the Persona series. The Outer Worlds. Disco Elysium.

I find myself enjoying almost all genres on Steamdeck. It's perfect in winter, hot cocoa, sitting on a windowsill with Hades. Looking out the window when you've died on the same place for the second time. Thinking if you should play a visual novel instead.
I'm currently playing OVERLORD: ESCAPE FROM NAZARICK and even though it's verified for Steamdeck, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. (Check reviews if you are curious why, their description is better than mine would be. Though if you ever wished to play as Clementine and see all Nazarick's characters in pixelart and you're not expecting more from this game, then I'd say go for it^^)
Looking forward to finding out what others love playing on their device^^

Sometimes I feel like I don't use my Steam Deck enough so recently I played some of the LEGO games on it, the last one being the DC Villains one. Another great thing was taking it along on some of the longer holidays, I actually didn't get around to playing that much, but it was very calming knowing that if something turns out more boring then expected I have an out :-)

Currently i'm playing Yakuza 0 on it. I doubt that I'd finish the game on my desktop, with all those submissions and tasks. But it's so convenient to do these in quick sessions on the Deck.

Edit: I'm using the profile theme.
