I've finally seen The Tale of Princess Kaguya yesterday, and I'm speechless. Is one of the most beautiful films ever created.

It is also very sad. But there are beauty also in sadness. Anyone familiar with the work of Isao Takahata (it's director) knows that.

So I wanted to share a little bit of that, recommending this movie, and every other Studio Ghibli film. They're great.

You can share a little bit of beauty here if you want.

Bump. Here's hoping this film will be somehow added to Netflix someday (despite Disney+).

Lovely movie. I was recently fortunate to record Princess From the Moon, a live action version of the story made by Kon Ichikawa in 1987. I'm looking forward to watching it.

No problem, it's the power of Ghibli. :) Have you got a personal favourite?? And did I manage to convince you to give Princess Kaguya a go? (you won't regret it..!)

And that game would fit really well haha, I wasn't aware of a Princess Kaguya game :D

got a personal favourite?

won't share details on that. that's very personal. [put some random EU yadda yadda here]

also, i didn't cry with a movie but still got serious problems finishing

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akira_(1988_film)

like, watched 8 times or so. still, there's a special point where it seems my brain can't cope with, emotionally, on the second half of it. and i shut down the all things every. single. time.
so, your words reminded me of that. also convinced me to give that Princess a double go. game and movie :P

this SG is a truly good site

I recommend you the Akira Manga then. It is very complex, but also very long, so that let the ideas breathe a little better. I think that it's a masterpiece.

PS: I also think this page is truly something.
