If I get the message: "This key is currently restricted in your country (US)" does that mean that it might not work for me, or that only people from the US can activate it?

Also if I have a game and then also the remastered/director's cut edition, does the old version still give trading cards?

Thank you

There are some odd region locks around at the moment. If you name the game and where you got it from somebody might tell you exactly where it would work.

A base game and a remastered/director's cut might or might not be different entries in your Steam library. If they are different entries then either or both or neither might drop cards. Like with region locks there isn't a great deal of consistency. If you name the game I'm sure somebody will give you the facts.

If it was the Black Ops 3 multiplayer from the humble monthly you might find more information about the region locks here.

As far as I know basic Darksiders doesn't drop cards - the warmastered edition is a different entry in your steam library and does drop cards. I don't know about Titan Quest and the anniversary edition. I believe Wasteland 2 is just one entry in your library and will drop one lot of cards whether it is the base or deluxe edition or whether you redeem both.

I'm sure people will be thrilled to wade in if my info was inaccurate.

I bought Wasteland 2 retail (before the DC came out) and it dropped cards for me. I decided to play the DC version (currently playing it, actually), and it did not drop cards for me. So there is only a card drop for Wasteland 2, not Wasteland 2 DC. However, you can get Achievements for both games! I've already gotten 100% in Vanilla Wasteland 2, and I currently have 14/46 Achievements for the DC.

As far as I can recall, the regular version of Titan Quest (or Titan Quest Gold) did not have trading cards at all. I think they were just implemented for the Anniversary edition.

The wording of that restriction message would seem to indicate that the game cannot be redeemed in your country (US), but that could just be bad writing on the part of Steam. Check the HB link HeavenHairSixes provided for more information.
