CoD doesn't do it under two separate companies and saying that it is a different IP/franchise. Sequels being identical is a lazy practise, but not something that could theoretically be tied to things as extreme as actual lawbreaking (tax evasion).
Still, probably just some small-time dev trying to be smart somehow.

No they haven't.
The CoD series may not be revolutionary but it gets more flak than it deserves.
They iterate through 3 studios and release pretty polished games, in a market plagued by day one patches and other BS. (Last I played was Black Ops 2)
The whole hating on CoD without good reason is ignorant and unfunny.

I mean ... have you heard about UnitZ ... the famoust asset flip that got like 20 different versions of it on steam right now .
I know its retarded but been done b4 >.<
Also as Ragecry mentioned , we even got AAA games doing the same and no one really care ;)

iirc, pretty sure this is the same thing twice too: Garbage Day and What The Heck, Dude?
only beaten out for "Most Ironic Name" by DigiHom's Temper Tantrum

There's a game called Garbage Day on steam.
it's actually called Garbage Day.
Garbage Day!
haha haha

Sad to see this, being a big fan of "Groundhog Day" I liked the idea and was hoping something fun would come out of this. But it seems the Garbage Day was abandoned and now they're trying to get more money by releasing under a different name.

That is a new dlc for Rebirth, not a rerelease of Rebirth as DLC for some other game (?).
Comment has been collapsed.
That's...not it at all. It's new DLC for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (the 2nd, actually, "Afterbirth" being the first). Also, there's plenty of news about that, otherwise I wouldn't know about it.

What ? There are plenty of new items and stuff that works different from the existing stuff. And this DLC isnt out yet so how can you know if its a rehash or not. Or are you one of those : "I think this or this will happen so it will. What you want proof or evidence ? I dont need any im smarter than most of you are" type.

Those turned out great.Rebirth is remake of first Isaac with new content and Afterbirth is even more. Afterbirth Plus will add even more + tools to make mods easier and some of them(mods) may be added into the game later as new content. PS: Even after reading all messages on the topic of new Isaac dlc i dont know waht you meant by this: "Isaac Rebirth is being rereleased again as DLC and there's no news about that."

Well, from looking at what crap comes from greenlight - small wonder that some jerk-developer decided to play smart-ass this way.
Comment has been collapsed.
Digital Homicide wanted to do that before they got banned from Steam.

That's exactly what DigiHom, Lord Kres and every asset-flipping asshole that's stinking up Greenlight (and occasionally bleeding into the store) is trying to do on Steam nowadays.
Especially since those stock apps usually come with a runtime engine for PC as well, so the "devs" can just dump their shit on another platform without requiring much additional investment.

Too bad this is already happened

Clicker Heroes and Ragnarok Clicker are practically the same but with different artwork (and Ragnarok is a few patches behind). Same developer, different publisher. The last patch for Ragnarok Clicker even had "Fixed several typos referring to old Clicker Heroes terminology" included in the notes. Literally just a lazy reskin.
Insanity Clicker is another lazy reskin by a different developer that's attempted to distance/distinguish itself by adding a a bad PvP mechanic.

I was searching for nice sales today, and since i like bullet hell-roguelike like games i checked some games, in which i found "Gun Brothers" and "Massive"
Seeing some videos i realised that not just some sprites, but almost all the entire game is the same.
Searching in the forums i saw multiple threads about this. The dev claims that both games are from him (even that the companys names are differents in both games) and try to explain why he is selling one game as two.
