For sure, first of all it's a super good looking game and you will play as Max who is on the mission to rescue his brother!
As the story progress you will have a pencil to help you mark your way during the stages, I don't know how much I want to spoil.. But for example you would have to draw trees/brances to puzzle you're way further!
I did play it my first time with controller though dunno if that would make any difference at all. :)
Also I should mention that I picked it up during sale though so totally worth those 2.99 I payed, if you see it for that price it's a steal!
But I suck at writing/describing games haha, youtube falco! ;)

Lume
Machinarium
Botanicula
Abandoned
Morphopolis
The Old Tree
The Tiny Bang Story
Windosill
Samorost 1+2
They're all pretty similar, and I loved all of them!
edit: Message Quest might fit as well, but I haven't played that one yet (but I intend to!)

Pid was pretty good in my opinion, the graphical art style was pleasant and warming. When I think of it, for some reason reminds me of a nice warm cup of coffee. And the puzzles were tough but clever and enjoyable.

I'd throw in Lili: Child of Geos. Not exactly similar, but I never met a female gamer who didn't love it. :)

Oh, and I just remembered: a similarly titled game, Lilly Looking Through is very similar to Lumino City, and it is usually quite cheap.

this type of games are called point and click. Go to lumino city's steam page and click on the "point and click" tag and you'll see all the game in that genre.
The most famous one is Monkey Island(though quite old).
There's also Life is strange which gets really high reviews.
By the way Lumino city is the second game. Lume is the first so you might want to get that one too.
Also you should check Monument Valley, truly a beautiful game and Tiny Thief a fun little point and click both on IOs/android..
