That's just a scare tactic used by scammers to rush you if they think you'll back away. Report him to steamrep.

I had one, they used my friend and said that I was doing illegal stuff. He pretended to be a Valve employee.
I sent Valve a msg, and then reported him... He only got a trade ban.
He wanted to check my items that I bought / received etc.
I told my friend that he's scamming people. Not sure if she believes me.

All of these problems stems from having to 100s of friends. Never could understand why people have this many friends on steam or social network. Pretending they are not alone?

Just lazy. Someone adds you to ask something or to trade, or even to deliver SG win, and then you don't bother to remove them... and after some time - voila, 100s of "friends".

Love the dumb logic on the scammer
"I reported you, I contacted valve and they told me you need to talk to them to not delete it"
1.- if the one who did the false report said its false, they should fix it, no need from the owner to contact
2.- Since WHEN Valve responds so fast and give a window to respond to the accusation?
3.- Since WHEN a report is more than enough to delete an account?, without evidence or such aiming at said account?.

There are lots of people that fall for this type of scam, it's pretty sad.

Otherwise such scammers wouldn't exist but they are everywhere, just think about "Microsoft Support" or similar scammers.

wtf thats a steam progile link

the panic rises... things are not going as planned... panic.... wtf

There are scammers
Sadly there are scammed people
Most, like you, belong to the category who don't fall for that stuff.
There are the ones who play the UNO reverse card and try to harm the scammer, like deleting his files via a teamvier like software, what do you think think about them
... and there are comedians who will give us a nice laugh in this ugly topic:

That's pretty funny. It's pretty hard to critical fail the "wield weapon" skill check, but I guess it can happen.
Then followed by a failed "climb / jump" skill check.

Thanks for posting. The take-home for me is that it's easy to hide bad links in those fancy Steam chat window image/links.

There was no need to necro this thread mate.

Read SG's Guidelines again:
Unreasonable bumping. When bumping a discussion you should try to ensure it is in the best interest of the community. If you notice our community is not engaging with the content after it has been bumped a couple of times, then you need to stop bumping the discussion unless important new information or updates would make it appropriate to do so.

Look at his username. That would explain it.

But I have to admit it, I do like the name.

I would argue the opposite. Everyone has Steam nowadays, so the assumption is that they aren't computer-savvy ;-)
